I think the fact that Axl & Co end up topping 'Classic Rock' polls will sicken him. He has always maintained that he wanted to move GNR on to a more modern sound yet here he is almost 15 years later still excelling in that genre...

I was saying that a little while ago. I don't see Axl being thrilled with this.

As someone else said, the "indus" songs as OMG or Silkworms was Axl going through a personal phase at the time. I think he got away from that and is trying to do something more classic rock feel to it. Hence the collaboration with Bach.
Something along the lines of Zep/Queen. The indus/vanguard days are over.

Swiss Magazine "RockStar"

Some employees made such a list. He mentioned Chinese Democracy as the album of the year. Though I have to say, that this magazine is for mainstream rock and I never buy it, but I got one for free as example and then I saw this.

Thats not strictly true although the main focus seems to be on the older acts. T I have learnt about many 'new' and currently active bands from CR.

Suprised they didn't review Sebastian Bach's album though.

I wasn't referring to the magazine, I was referring to the genre.
