Can't say I'm hugely surprised. Howard Stern called this right out of the gate and told Russel it wouldn't work out. Not that he's a visionary or anything, these Hollywood marriages rarely work out.

Katy Perry was the most played artist on radio of 2011, according to Nielsen BDS.

Perry clocked up 1,457,000 detections on US radio last year placing her slightly in front of Bruno Mars with 1,440,000 plays.

‘E.T.’ was her most played song with 526,000 detections, followed by ‘Firework’ with 509,000 plays and ‘Last Friday Night (TGIF)’ 450,000.

Adele ‘Rolling In The Deep’ was the most played song on US radio with 658,000 detections.

The Top 10 Artists by Airplay were:

1. Katy Perry – 1,457,000
2. Bruno Mars – 1,440,000
3. Lady Gaga – 1,261,000
4. P!nk – 1,182,000
5. Rihanna – 1,127,000
6. Adele – 1,118,000
