This just gets better with age.. If you haven't watched in a while, treat yourself. The tone, feel, and passion here is amazing. This is not an awesome "technical" performance. This was vintage Guns era Slash. SOUL and TONE... I wish he had this tone today. Anyway, what a total badass that owned the guitar that night and the band sounded great. Slash is in the "zone" on this one.

Dude honestly that's not very good. When he plays like that it seems like he's just wasted. I get what you're saying by qualifying it as not a great technical performance, but this is just plain not good. He is capable of FAR better.

Well, he was doing a Jimi tribute, not Steve via. I thought Slash was a boss here. Was sloppy at times.. But that tone and note choices was pretty awesome.
