The polls showed a dominating Hillary victory in 2016 throughout the election and on election day.

The polls showed Hillary winning a popular vote, which she did.

They also showed her ahead in the swing state polls, until about two weeks prior to the election when the leads essentially dried up . Trump won the electoral college by approximately 80k votes and a successful Russian  social media propaganda campaign (Which Trump Jr. and Ted Cruz are already busy repeating  in regards to BLM.)

As bad as Covid has been for Trump, I think it would be 100X worse for Biden to inherit.

I have to wonder if you've even paying attention to anything that's been happening the last 5 months? Remarkable.

In the 2020s.... such a possibility isn't humorous.

I love how you guys are talking as if we're currently at some sort of normal baseline with a president who isn't incompetent on almost every level imaginable.

To me the most insightful thing in this article is the concept the Michael Cohen was (theoretically) locked up the second time as retaliatory from Federal officials for writing the book?!  That's like 'Enemy Of The State' type government stuff.

I brought this up on the other thread: Trump's retaliatory behavior (exercised via an unconstitutional clause in Cohen's release agreement) infringed on his first amendment rights and was right out of the authoritarian playbook. The judge said he'd never seen anything like it in his career.

Yeah, I mean there is no way in hell that Biden can handle this worse than Trump.  Sometimes I wander into this thread and wonder if I've entered some sort of bizarro world.

Correct again.  I mean the guy advocated drinking bleach/disinfectant as a possible way to kill the coronavirus.  Pence and Biden would be a step up from Trump.

Dude, he didn't say to drink bleach.

Trump hasn't gotten to all of your heads. You can say he's terrible without going off the deep end... But if you're not going off the deep end You're accused of being a Trumper. I'm going to hold Biden to the same standard I do Trump. Will you guys?

I mean, Biden's encouraging all to wear a mask & didn't congratulate Georgia for reopening in April.

I feel that's a fair example of two methods of handling it.

Anyone else hearing that Trump has pulled ad and campaign spending in Michigan as of about a week ago and now Pennsylvania over the weekend?

If Biden wins all the hillary states and Trump is already conceding Michigan and Pennsylvania then that puts Biden at 264 EVs before the election actually begins.

Hadn't heard but probably a temporary pull & re-org. With 2 weeks of DNC & RNC will likely reconvene around Labor Day to see what states are in play & which ones to keep money in.

Yea...it's tough to tell what this means and if anything I've learned not to read too much into anything that Trump does....however...we are what, 70 days out? There's really no time to be pulling out of anywhere imho.

However, Biden and Trump are basically polling even in Texas, Georgia and North Carolina. Apparently he has to spend in places he didn't expect to...

Biden's national average (even inducing the erratic and conservative leaning Rasmussen) is around +8. Hillary was at +3 on election day.

For those that shake their heads about polls, you all have to be aware that 2016 polls were all within the margin of error in 2016 except Wisconsin state polls. With the DNC happening right now, who knows what that could do. Also, Biden's VP pick probably hasn't hit the polls yet. They are expecting that his pick plays well in Florida and Arizona.

Seems its Kamala Harris.

He just lost my vote.

Under no circumstances should she be a heartbeat away from the presidency....and there's a strong chance his VP becomes president during his term.

The DNC pushed Biden and now they've pushed Harris into the slot. I don't think they actually want the presidency. In a Trump world and drowning in chaos.....THIS is the best they have to offer?!?

I'll be voting in this election of course but it looks like I'll be focusing on the local and state elections.

If Trump has a brain he'll do some campaigning here in Cali. She's not well liked here.

Prediction: This decision will go down as the lefts version of the Palin pick.... completely out of touch with reality.

I think this is awfully harsh...

you're comparing someone who earned her law degree and worked as the city attorney for San Francisco and for the AG of California to a swim suit model who clearly used her looks to get ahead in life. Not only that...she embraced socialistic policies in Alaska with oil revenues.

There are reasons not to like Harris...but Sarah Palin is not a valid comparison.
