Too funny….1. Why in the hell would they re-release OMG? 2. How in the hell could Slash and Duff make that song better?

You want to know what's even funnier than that?

The idea of releasing Silkworms as your big single during the reunion.

Wasn't that Axl's way of waiving the victory flag over Duff and Slash? "You know the experimental shit you guys weren't into, that's going to be the first single." I'm as big as Chinese era cuck as the next nerd, but what other reason could that single have been chosen other than an actual b-side or outro thrown on the album without anyone elses knowledge?

Well only two weeks to go until it's released. I'm sure it will turn up online everywhere as soon as someone gets there's. I don't see a leak happening before that of an earlier version though. Possibly after the release though as I guess the track won't be worth quite as much.

These guys still jerk each other off over hoarding bootlegs form the early 90's. I highly doubt any of these self stroking, fucks unload any earlier demos once this version comes out. They will still feel special having their 2007 demo version and that's what they get off on.

Unsolicited confession.... I've now surpassed 200 listens to the shitty cellphone clip. I mean It's probably closer to 300 but, in this community, does that even register on the geiger counter of fanaticism? I mark out to that melodic lead by Bucket (which to my ear is the only true discernible music amongst the chatter).

Based on the final product of the other officially released,  "reaheated" Chinese leftovers, I'm sure I will enjoy the final product regardless of the excessive edits. I just hope no matter who is actually playing on the track, does what I heard on that clip, justice.

Releasing presumably (in the eyes of the hardcores) the best song of the post 93 line up on a b-side, seems to be par for course with the chinese legacy of this band.

I wonder if the hoarders ever have buyers remorse.

Hopefully in hindsight, when these tracks finally see the light of day. I hope a ton of feelings were hurt when the chairman "emptied the locker".

Part of the intro is in that clip is clearly looped but that's a way, way more engaging intro than the CD one.

It sounds like Jaws or something.

Imagine it leading into a tear your throat out riff.

That would be so killer.

The riffs you can make out on the cell phone clip sound very promising. Very reminiscent of the Soothsayer chorus licks.

Mostly before the time I started watching, but they did randomly bring him back for appearances now and again (when I was a kid).

RIP Funker.

Those Buckethead licks in The General (from what you can actually hear) are on par with Soothsayer. Even if Slash is copy pasted on top of it, from what I can make out, this will be a satisfying track for the hardcore fanbase.

It was probably the same thing everyone else heard lol

Glad to know I'm not the only nerd listening to that shitty clip over and over again.

Release a box set of everything and take my money!

After The General, Quicksong is my personal holy grail. That vocal scratch demo hits me in the feelers.

I'll take all the interludes you can throw at me, with or without Thyme intro. I'm personally holding hope for the track that Shaquille O'Neal provided some bars for. All jokes aside, The fact that The General is getting released breathes new life into my optimism that we might hear some of these locker demos fleshed out.
