One thing i noticed is- Baz shoved Axl down his fans' throats while promoting this record, and Axl isn't even on the version for the video.

Axl was not on the single when it was first released either.
In fact all the song Axl sings on have alternate version with out him....

Baz has not shoved it down are throats. The media ask question
about Axl in every interview & when it goes to blabbermouth it is placed
in there tiles every time lol, they love to twist words but still a cool site.  I put a pic in this time from Trailer Park Boys the TV show where the single first aired.

That is one fucking massive phone! Maybe the smaller ones kept breaking when he spoke

I do think Axl should have appeared in  LIAB video. That would have really got everyone talking, probably more than being on the album would have. Axl could have played a bad ass with attitude too, setting the stage for Chinese Democracy.

As DTJ said, $50 million dollars. Sadly, you can soon expect to hear Aerosmith songs on American Idol & car commercials near you.

I love Steven Tyler, but you're right about this and that just sucks.

If he's written the songs, then he's perfectly entitled to do what he's done and who are we to contest that.

In fact I'd rather hear Aerosmith on tv and other places if it means I don't have to listen to the usual crap! As long as its not some of their later stuff mind you.

Surely if its turned over the label can do what the hell they like with it?

If there was a dispute would Axl really have handed it over? Something doesn't make sense here

#1074 Re: The Sunset Strip » Megadeth » 912 weeks ago

Love the old shit Into the Lungs of Hell, In My Darkest Hour etc etc, Rust in Peace was great as was Countdown to Extinction. Overall a solid band but RIP line up was the best.

russtcb, I was hoping you'd commented on this, but I see you haven't yet:

All this reunion talk reminds me of Pink Floyd. Waters would love to reunite, but Gilmour just won't let it happen.

I would definitely love to see these guys together live, but I don't keep up on the gossip at all.  What's your take on it?

Roger Waters is in no way wanting to do a reunion.

I was listening to an interview with him on Planet Rock the other day and he said he would do it, but Dave's not interested.

#1076 Re: Guns N' Roses » The Next Chapter or the Grand Finale? » 912 weeks ago

Every day it feels more and more like the Grand Finale. There's absolutely nothing to look forward to at the moment. Even Baz has shut up now, and rumours are constrained to a four word e-mail reply from the part time rhythm guitarist in GNR. 'You heard right Greg'. Gee thanks for that.

Maybe its just the January Blues. We used to talk about the calm before the storm, now its just starting to feel like the calm before the calm.

IMO they have 2-3 months to do something, or the hard core fans will wither away. In some sense I wish they would, the bands done fuck all for ages now, so why should we give a shit. Maybe the forums should not even bother with the new band, instead reminisce on good times past. Collectively ignore any talk of leaks, forthcoming tours or anything to do with the new band. Just talk about Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy and Steven. See how Mr A likes that.

Sorry, rant over. I'll be back tomorrow full of enthusiasm probably!

I know dave grohl would be amazing - he's a great drummer - but this belongs to bonham.

I agree with Babydolls on this. It'd be great to see Dave with them. Amazing actually. But it belongs to Bonham.

Me too. Once met Jason Bonham in a place called Nean Sollers (Cleobury Mortimer) - crazy fella - likes his drink and rocks.

But I'd like to see Dave do a gig or two on the drums. He'd be like a kid in a candy store, the enthusiasm would be infectuous. I'm also intrigued to see how his style of drumming would work with Led Zepplin, which although was a very heavy and hard sound was also quite intricate.

Yeah really! Good call

No seriously, he'll probably just rip off some drum tracks and use pro tools to record his parts

I'm waiting to see who will win the war before jumping in and buying one. I have no interest in buying both formats since one of them will be dead within a year or so.

How long did the VHS / Betamax war take?

I'm currently thinking of buying a media centre. Anyone have any recommendations?
