Weird that the three kids from that show all got messed up.
I'm struggling to think of a child star that hasn't gone on to be messed up in some way.
#1762 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » How often do you listen to Guns? » 952 weeks ago
Now and then, I normally hear a few GNR songs daily cos if I'm on my home pc I just select play all music and hit random so it throws up GNR quite a bit although I often skip a lot of them.
I recently listened to AFD and both UYI albums, part of my work placement involves me doing a job that's pretty dull and time consuming but I can have music on so I brought in a few cds including GNR. Before that I'm not sure when I last listened to a full GNR album, like others have said I go through phases of listening to them a lot and then not listen to them for months on end. I still get a kick when I hear GNR in a bar or out somewhere I didn't expect to hear them though.

That's terrible LLL, I feel really sorry for you, you have my condolences

The show I attended in 06 was at the MEN arena in Manchester and until the 02 arena opened it was the largest indoor arena in Europe. Capacity for a rock show there is approx 18-19,000 and at the GNR show I saw it was practically full, only a few of the highest and furthest back seats remained empty. I appreciate thought that the American market is different to the UK and Europe.

It's football, cos you play it with a ball at your feet. Like Axl S said in American Football they carry it and throw it....when they're not having another rest of course

Bullshit. He cant even attempt to hold BH's jockstrap. Just because people want him to doesn't make it so. I wish a pot of gold would land right outside my house. Doesn't mean I'm gonna try and act like it just happened.
He fucks up CD, cant do the amazing TWAT outro, fucks up IRS, and the only reason Better is even tolerable is because Axl shines on the song and Finck's work is superb.
I'm not sure I agree, there was a video of GNR playing in 06, one of the last shows I think, that was floating round on youtube and the band played CD that night. The performance was great and it sounded as close to the demo version as you'll ever hear. The weak points were that the song lacked the ballsy heavy rhythm that the demo has, however that's a problem that's plagued CD live since day one. There's a power to the demo that's never been replicated live by any era 01-07, however Rons solo was bang on, admittedly that's only one performance but if you saw/heard it I don't think you'd claim he fucks up CD. I'll try find it but I've got a horrible feeling Tsunami removed it and I've not seen it since.
I still think it's an unfair comparison to judge BH's studio work with Ron's live performances, we don't know how BH would sound if he was playing them live. I appreciate it's the only comparison we have or can make but it's not a particularly accurate one.
They wont care until they listen to demos for comparison, and then it'll be,"wait a minute. Why do these songs sound better 6 years ago?".
It's not unheard of for people to prefer demos over the finished version, look at some of the UYI demos, imo some of the UYI demos are better than the final tracks but overall does it make a difference to the albums? Not especially, because ultimately they are the same songs, a few tweaks here and there but that's all they are. I find the 14 Years demo better than the album version but the decision to change that song, imo, for the worse and put that on the album doesn't spoil my enjoyment of the album or the song. I think it's important to remember that, you've either got a good song or you haven't, tweaks can help but they don't generally make or break a song.
Remember how much time Axls put into this record, he isn't going to compromise the album to accomodate someone. The best bits will stay, all we've got to find out is who's done the best bits.

I'm sorry to hear that LLL, I got a dog 2 weeks ago and I can't imagine what it must feel like for them to disappear. I hope she turns up really soon for you.
#1768 Re: Guns N' Roses » *RUMOUR* - Possible Guns N’ Roses Tour In The Works? » 952 weeks ago
when is dinner? like 6? or maybe 8 if its late? there are shows in 06 when gnr didnt even take the stage until 2:00am so if he has a 6 hour break between dinner and showtime? yeah sure he could eata whole cow and a whole lamb and still shat it out before he goes on
Yeah but that's not really a story is it, that's just Axl Rose having his tea. I think the story was more Axl refused to go on stage unless he got a roast lamb dinner, having said that there was nothing to suggest when this was so maybe it was 6 hours before, in which case it's still not a story
If I had to guess the location of the next GNR tour I'd have thought it'd be South America. If they do tour in Poland I doubt it'll be the only place they go, maybe that's not even the first date of a tour, it might just be the first one to filter down the rumour mill. Assuming there's really a tour in the first place, I seem to remember Mysteron saying there were no plans to tour again until the album was out.
