This video doesn't deal with the real issue: What the hell is that toilet?
Can someone from a country with the new electric power tell me what's going on there?
Seemed to be an LCD readout, push buttons and a built in mp3 player or something.
Does it automatically raise and lower the seat, are the controls some kind of bidet operation? Is it monitoring your pee for diabetes or STI's? Is it how posts are moderated at HTGTH? Someone help me out here.
I translated.
Supposedly the toilet is on rails and allows Axl ride down to his basement studio and literally take a dump on GNR's legacy.

AFD will stand uneffected by a CD3 or a Snakepit5 or whatever.
For me this doesn't apply to GNR as I love CD, but I can see for some people it could start to become an issue a few albums in. Although it's probably also relevant I guess that it's fundamentally a different band (aside from Axl) even though it has the same name while the U2 example given is the original line up.
It does interest me overall, how many times of feeling fan-raped by your product makes you quit. I have friends that follow WWE but have hated it for like 5 or 6 years in a row now but hang in there because they've watched for 25 years overall. But sooner or later it's going to need to "improve" (adjust to their liking) or eventually their credit gets too low.
Actually I think that's what it comes down to huh. How much existing credit does a band have.
Those are some great points.
I think the fact that it's Axl and a new band means that people can brand the new band as "bad" leaving the old bands legacy intact.

Agreed. For example, I've stuck by Metallica even though they've had bad albums (hello St Anger & Lulu!), and I still look forward to new music by them.

I think the only difference between Adler and the other guys drug use, is that we didn't see theirs on TV.

Well, if they are all there, then I cannot see Izzy forcing the other 3 to play something without Axl. But I don't think either that there would be any chance for a show, if they didn't talk about it before and the players didn't rehearse.
Anyway, five of them on the same stage accepting the award would be good enough for me. Any performance by the originals would be a pleasent surpirse.
Agreed, though I think Izzy is the biggest question mark for showing up. According to Matt Sorum, they will all be sitting together but there are no plans to perform. He, and all (most) of us, hope that changes though.
