Here's the really fucking weird thing with me and Creed. I HATED those guys when they were popular. Mainly because everyone talked them up that I hung out with. It really irritated me, and at the time, I was going through my "what the world needs is Axl Rose" phase, and that GN'R needed to come back.
Years later, I reconnected with their music, and it's good. Solid melodic rock.
The reason I reconnected, was because Creed for me is something that instantly makes me identify my youth. It takes me back to certain moments, even when I hated that their songs were stuck in my head.
It's just weird for me. Back when they were hot, hated 'em, now... I listen to them to try and recreate atmosphere from the late 90's.
That song above, "Overcome" ain't bad for a comeback.
people can hate on LP or Jay z all they want but both are very good and have some good music.
Lol, just like with Creed, I also hated Linkin Park when they were hot, especially during Hybrid Theory. I just thought they were another nu-metal act. In The End got beat into the ground too. Then Meteora came out with Numb, and I just instantly fell in love with that song, and went back and rediscovered them.
They are a good "singles" band, but other than that, they aren't good in the albums territory.
Anyways, both are "guilty pleasures" territory.
Jay Z is a good rap artist, although not a rap aficionado, I enjoy pretty much what everyone else does.

Cause Alter Bridge are better? Seriously I really wish they would split again just so Alter Bridge could get back together.
ehh. I like Scott's voice. And although Blackbird was pretty good I still like Weathered better

Wow, that new Creed song sounds like Creed crossed with Black Label Society. The guitars are probably the heaviest I've heard in a Creed song, even the soloing is pretty nutty. Good to see Mark Tremonti bringing some of the Alter Bridge heaviness into Creed. I still can't stand the singers voice though.

Well at the end of Creed Mark was taking things in a more metal direction. I mean look at Freedom Fighters and Bullets. both were pretty heavy.
