Re: 26/6/16 FEDEX FIELD, WASHINGTON, DC UNITED STATES
What was attendance like? Top deck/nosebleeds seemed to be closed. Imagine a Sunday night show is a tough sell..
Start time was outrageously early. Maybe given it was a Sunday. Not my cup of tea that..
Considering what we'd heard about some of these shows(including this one), that is very impressive. Only the highest nosebleeds are empty. On Sludge someone who ia fairly neutral went to the show, had been to this stadium before, and said he estimated 40-50k crowd.

I'll take "Axl leaning on Slash while they play Chinese Democracy" under "things I never thought I'd see in my lifetime".
Re: 26/6/16 FEDEX FIELD, WASHINGTON, DC UNITED STATES
Axl's on a roll, straight from the AC/DC gig to this.
It's nice that he feels good enough to actually show his face on stage. The hats and glasses are sttil there on some songs, but he's definitely feeling confident, in contrast to hiding underneath his apparel through entire shows in 2011-4.
Still a bit cagey, hardly dancing much with that healing foot. He's also minding his voice, hitting the right notes but - just me? - holding back on some of the power, there. Very determined to go through with the tour, but old karma is still messing with him.
Of course, the rest of the band is aces. Would be fun to attend the Chicago shows, as they'd be all warmed up by then.

I do wish Axl would do something about the gut though, it's the one thing that's a bit off. He's a multimillionaire, surely he can just pay someone to hoover the flab out and turn it into soap. Or get Duff to hook him up with a personal trainer.
Re: 26/6/16 FEDEX FIELD, WASHINGTON, DC UNITED STATES
You don't get to be a multimillionaire by wasting your money on that crap. All he needs to do is a little less heavy lifting at the bar and maybe sit a bit further away from the dinner table.

He's probably the only multimillionaire in LA not on HGH...
He went away from it all after 2006-ish. Obviously I have no inside knowledge, but Axl was seemingly on hgh and probably testoterone replacement therapy around that time (not bodybuilder dosages of course, just TRT.) Guy looked rejuvenated. Some people have joint issues and the like on hgh, so it may just not be to his liking. I don't care though, the guy sounds good and seems happy - so as a fan I'm happy.
Re: 26/6/16 FEDEX FIELD, WASHINGTON, DC UNITED STATES
I'm convinced at this point Axl's issues stretch beyond food. I think Axl might have some personal health problems which is why he's starting to look the way he does.
As long as he's vocally there and happy, I don't care what he looks like. But I will say... he needs to do something that hair of his. It's fried. I know everyone is just loving no hats... but I kinda miss the hats. And bandanas. He looks better, younger, and healthier in them.
