There's no chance that this album lives up to this review. None. There's no chance that an 80s singer that couldn't write lyrics comes back and has some fantastic album 20 years later. Axl on there is a publicity stunt and should tell you everything you need to know about the quality of the material.
Axl wouldn't be on it in the first place if it wasn't of an extreme.y high standard...The time he is taking over chinese democracy is proof of his high standards...He would hardly lend a LEAD vocal to this alum unless it met his high standards

Christmas And Thanksgiving are high on my list of things to look forwrd too...At leas they are consistant Reliable and ALWAYS on time

There's no way in hell the current lineup is recording old GNR songs for CD. Thats way too fucking stupid and unoriginal. If Cd is gonna have 15 tracks, how can CITR still be up in the air? There's no way in hell Better is from 2005. I also don't agree about BH and Huge being excluded from the album. I am sure BBF is on the album as well, but they have not done enough recording to remove BH from the equation.
The only thing he says thats believable is 2008 possibly not being the year.
No one said they were being recorded for CD . Probably they were recorded fo Axls Vision of what He alone would have put o Use Your Illusions had the other members at the time not wanted import...In much the same way as he re-recorded Appetite with the new line-up

The history of the Island of Madagascar is immense. It was uncharted for years but lay just on a trade route to the indies and spice islands and due to this Many ships were wrecked there. It was used as a sort of prison island much like Australia where people who committed transgressions against thee societies of the time were Exiled
In more recent times Hitler had drawn up a plan to exile all of the jewish population to Madagaascar when War became obvious he knew this would be impossible and so employed his final solution.
Throughout the ages Madagascar has been a symbol for Exile , Abandonment and Isolation. I think Axl could well have drawn paralells between the nations history and his own situation at the time of writting this song
