I'll order the Japan CD but hopefully The General is released on digital this Friday so I can listen to the finished version and not have to wait for the CD to arrive later this winter.

It's Tuesday and still no announcement of a digital/streaming release for this week. I may have to wait and order the Japan CD since I don't have a vinyl player.

Ill give it a listen. I love listening to remixed albums. Animals was incredible...REM's Monster was a dud.
Sick how the The Wall remix was finished long ago but just gathers dust because they just can't get along. A miracle we even got Animals.

I don’t think they sound different than what we got….I’ll wait for the digital release but don’t think that will sound different either.
I'm hoping that both The General and Monsters will get a digital release.

The link doesn't work for me. When I go to the link and click on the download button it makes me select that I'm not a robot about 6 times and then I get a bunch of fake McAfee virus warning popups. Does anyone have a cleaned up link that they could post or PM to me?

I don't own any vinyl so I'm hoping that these tracks do get a digital release too. I have the demos thanks to this forum but it would definitely be cool to get official versions.

You mention the Bumblefoot version and I think a lot of people think of that as the remix, but if you look at his description it doesn't fit that at all. Brain was asked to work on six remixes for the band one of which one of which clearly was Oh My God. Bizarrely this has been largely forgotten by people.
It doesn't surprise me if it's out there, but it does surprise me it hasn't leaked.
It surprises me as well that it hasn't leaked since so many other remixes from Brain leaked. Thanks for the information.

The more important thing is we don't know if those new 'overdubs' were taken, simply, from alternate takes during the original recording sessions. That's why I PERSONALLY don't think we've heard any post, let's say 2002 or so vox on ANY of the CD material or leaks we've had our hands on thereafter. Obviously I don't have much to draw that conclusion from except for the perceptible change in how he sounds on "Angel Down" and, later, "Rock the Rock"..
I could very well be wrong, like I said, its just my opinion - the problem is we don't have enough of a data set to form a more conclusive one, at this point in time.. who knows, though
Is Rock the Rock available anywhere?

I've seen a few posts about a version of Oh My God that has alternate lyrics to the version that was on the End Of Days soundtrack. Does it really exist? I know about the Bumblefoot version, but I wasn't sure if there was another version of the song as well.
