alluc.org is good definately. I watch stuff on that all the time. Someone just sent me www.cucirca.com as they watched Heroes on it - but that might be for us slow Brits that dont get US progs as fast! No idea what its like myself

Leo, though I have 50/50 Cancer and Leo traits - which according to my birth chart (same as what Jessica was mentioning on astro.com) is completely accurate given my time, date and place of birth.

I don't really like Libertad, but I'm going because it's still Slash, Duff & Matt up there, and I know they'll put on a good show!
Good on you. I agree, I dont like Libertad as much - but I've seen them twice this year and the gig at Download festival was really good. One of those occasions where the sound, the crowd, the band, everyone and everything was 110% and they sounded amazing. will look forward to hearing your review Where in Australia are you seeing them?

#95 Re: Guns N' Roses » If there is a reunion, where do people stand? » 920 weeks ago
Well - here's where I stand. I fell in love with and grew up on the old line-up from the age of 12 - there was no other band that grabbed me as much, but I never got to see them play live (as they didnt play in Scotland until 2006 - a slight bone of contention for me!) - SO, yes of course I would like to see the original line-up play together, BUT my feelings on a reunion have not been quite so passionate over the last few years. I LOVED the GnR gigs I went to in 2006, had the time of my life at each of them. Yes, I would love to see Axl and Slash share a stage - but it doesnt have to be a GnR song they are playing. I just dont think I'll ever get to see them play Double talkin jive or Locomotive together, and I have to accept it. I feel very fortunate in that I've now seen ex-Gnr members play live in other bands (slash's snakepit, VR, Izzy in GnR last year) - and so I feel a lot happier that I've seen most of my favourite musicians live. That means the most to me.
I'd certainly pay the money if a reunion was to happen - but I think there is little chance of that happening - and these days thats fine by me. I want to be able to see my favourite musicians play live - and that's whats happening.
Maybe its more likely that axl and slash would play together as guests with another band (Stones?) - at some point (hopefully). In the same way that it felt very satisfying to see Izzy last year with GnR, I'd love to see axl and slash onstage together. one day maybe.
And yes - first snakepit album fkn rocks.

#97 Re: The Garden » Food Poisoning » 920 weeks ago
Urggh - I've had food poisoning a few times - only once was it really bad, actually was salmonella, but I did have a dodgy mussel the other week and that had me crying and puking for hours. something so small can make you so so sick! I remember crying and apologising to my husband continually as he took out bag after bag of puke... not a good day. I was so out of it - I didnt remember most of it. He did tho... The salmonella was awful though - luckily didnt get it as full-on as it can be. James - yours sounded horrendous, that feeling of utter helplessness and body shutdown makes you feel so weak. I get the - "just leave me here, I'll only slow you down" type attitude which is really not a positive way to start feeling better!

great musician, great performer - tori rocks. Have seen her twice, once with a full band and once just her and a couple of pianos - both gigs made me cry! maybe I'm getting old and emotional - but jeez - i seem to be having a tearful moment in a fair few gigs these days! Must be my excellent taste in emotive artists!
I would highly recommend From the Choirgirl Hotel and Little Earthquakes especially - her style may not be to everyone's taste - but she is one talented lady.

#100 Re: The Garden » 88 Fast Food Items that can KILL YOU » 921 weeks ago
I am intrigued by cheesesteaks, PaSnow! is it an american favourite? a lot of the fast food chains you listed, dont exist here in UK. In the town I lived in till I was 16, there was no pizza hut or burger king, macdonalds etc - and still isnt! Looking back - i am glad as I know I would have eaten there far too much. Dont eat much fast food these days, but a plain old McD's cheesburger can lure me in. cant bear Burger king - warm lettuce and mayo -urrghh... Cant bear KFC - there are LOADS of imitation chicken outlets in London (and am sure in other areas in UK) - and I get so fed up seeing chicken cartons and bones everywhere on the streets. bones, bones, everywhere you look - that cant be right.
IHOP sounds good!
