It's all about PR, man.
Welcome to show business!
SERIOUS MODE [ON!]
And slamming Richard Fortus for playing with Rihanna while defending Slash for doing the same is equally pathetic as those who do the opposite. Seriously.
Humans are capable of expressing their opinions without any double standards.
SERIOUS MODE [/OFF!]

Roadrunner Records has announced the signing of legendary VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash for the forthcoming European release of his debut solo album, "Slash", in spring 2010.
"Slash" will see Roadrunner Records enter into a unique and innovative association with a U.K. media partner — the special-interest media group Future. In a brand new concept in record distribution the standard album release will be preceded by a "fan pack," in which the Roadrunner Records album will be bundled together with a highly collectable special issue of Future Publishing's Classic Rock magazine dedicated to Slash's career. This will be the first format of the album available anywhere in the world.
Slash will release a two-track CD single in Japan on November 11 containing the song "Sahara" (featuring singer Koshi Inaba of the Japanese hard rock duo B'Z) and a version of the GN'R classic "Paradise City" (featuring CYPRESS HILL and Fergie [a.k.a. Stacy Ann Ferguson] of the BLACK EYED PEAS).
"Sahara" is expected to appear on Slash's forthcoming solo album. According to the guitarist, "the [record] is in its mixing stage and the mixes to this point sound great. We have recorded 18 songs, with one more I want to track." He added, "the record is still slated for a February/March release."

56-year-old wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has told Chicago Trubune's "About Last Night" column that he played bass guitar in high school and that he tried to get back into music even after making it big in wrestling.
"I was in England presenting an award with Jerry Hall, Mick Jagger's ex, and she told me THE [ROLLING] STONES were looking for a bass player," Hogan said. "I sent her a ton of merchandise that she asked for and said 'Tell Mick I'm a great bass player.' I never heard a word back.
"When METALLICA was looking for a bass player, I called and never heard a word back from them either. I would have quit wrestling in a heartbeat to be a bass player for METALLICA."
Hulk Hogan was in Chicago last week to promote his autobiography, "My Life Outside The Ring".
The book is Hogan's second autobiography and offers more details on his family and childhood.

Rihanna has revealed the full track list for her upcoming album Rated R, out November 23rd. Will.i.am and Young Jeezy guest on the LP, along with Slash, who contributes guitar to the appropriately titled “ROCKSTAR 101.” Fans who preorder Rated R — starting midnight November 3rd, at the iTunes store — will receive an instant download of the Ne-Yo-penned first single “Russian Roulette.” The single will also go on sale tomorrow, and the singer’s RihannaNow website will debut her video for “Wait Your Turn,” the leaked track that Rolling Stone reported on this morning.
The iTunes version of Rated R will also include director Anthony Mandler’s exclusive cut of the two videos he directed, “Wait Your Turn” and “Russian Roulette.” The “Russian Roulette” video will make its official debut on November 13th on 20/20, a week after Rihanna first appears on 20/20 to tell her story for the first time since her February 8th altercation with Chris Brown. Rihanna is also scheduled to make appearances on the November 5th Good Morning America and on the November 9th episode of The Alexa Chung Show.
Judging by the track listing, and based on “Russian Roulette,” Rated R finds Rihanna taking a darker, colder and more violent approach to the subject of love with song titles like “Stupid in Love,” “Cold Case Love” and “Rude Boy.” The one song with a warm title — other than sinister-sounding “Fire Bomb” — is “Te Amo.”
Rated R:
1. “Mad House”
2. “Wait Your Turn”
3. “Hard” (featuring Young Jeezy)
4. “Stupid In Love”
5. “ROCKSTAR 101″ (featuring Slash)
6. “Russian Roulette”
7. “Fire Bomb”
8. “Rude Boy”
9. “Photographs” (featuring will.i.am)
10. “G4L”
11. “Te Amo”
12. “Cold Case Love”
13. “The Last Song”
