#1021 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » SLASH's New Single To Feature Ozzy; More Guest Singers Revealed » 853 weeks ago
she's a member of the press/media, her job is to stoke the fire. She never said Slash told her its about Axl..
Slash has made it very clear in interviews that he is done with that negativity.
He had his chance to blow when Axl referred to him as 'a cancer' especially as the poor timing of this comment saw it come just before his mother died from the fucking disease. Graciously Slash left his response at 'whatever dude'.
Axl has propagated a myth that Slash was pure evil. No quote or lawsuit settlement published has ever proven to me that this accusation was nothing more than the ramblings of a paranoid and self pitying shut-in surrounded by enablers.
If Slash didn't respond to 'cancergate' when he had the massive high ground of his mothers death then he's not going to...
#1022 Re: The Sunset Strip » U2 - Acoustic Achtung Babies » 854 weeks ago
I was at the Dublin gig (third and last one) and I was fucking impressed by the passion that this band still deliver with. They really give a fuck about their crowd.
Bono spoke to us all about how he reads about how fucked our country is now but to take heart be proud of our history and heart and never stop fighting to get it back the way we want it; tears in the eyes stuff.
People forget that U2 just don't have to take these risks in cost to put these shows on anymore. They do it because they want us to have our minds blown.

the guy probably loves the songs and has finally realised that Timbaland was not the man for the job.
#1024 Re: The Sunset Strip » Best covers on youtube » 854 weeks ago
and this fucker is just outrageous at imitating Cornell
#1025 Re: The Sunset Strip » Best covers on youtube » 854 weeks ago
This one is for James..this guy delivers a pretty tough tune with skill
#1026 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Jack White turned down Slash collaboration » 854 weeks ago
wasted opportunity indeed. Jack sure can write a riff and vocal line.
This could have been one of Slash's real winners...
Damn..
I wonder how many others turned him down to sing on the album?
Anyone who puts 'Axl' and one of these
should go play with the traffic
#1027 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Slash signs with Roadrunner Records » 854 weeks ago
all bets are off these days. The labels are falling asunder.
#1028 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Slash Sahara Japan 5" CD SINGLE » 854 weeks ago
It’s not that bad, I just think the original was so good its a case of 'don't fix what isn't broken'.
If I'd never heard it before abnd it was released by the BEPs and Slash I'd probably like it alot more.
I guess the guy may have sat back and considered Axl's point that he's not open to change. Maybe this is as 'out there' as Slash can be.
The guy needs a manager who can properly mix his old school legend with some new blood to bring out the best in him. I guess with the BEPs just off the top of a WW No. 1 his 'people' probably felt that the Slash 'brand' will benefit from this kind of thing.
Perplexing..
#1029 Re: Guns N' Roses » Message to GNR fans asking about tour plans (from Ron): » 861 weeks ago
sounds to me like Ron got his ass handed to him by the 'CEO' for making the economy comment.
I think Ron must struggle with the issue of suddenly having thousands of fans after years in the shadows, being really grateful for it and really wanting to engage with them only to find his word is not welcome when it comes to the band he plays in.
I would hate to be in that band.
Being Ron must be like arriving into the tail end of what looked like an amazing party in an incredible location with the best drugs and tail money can buy only to find out the host who provided it all has had enough and is chucking everybody out. You can see from the shattered remains of the place that it must have been one hell of a shindig while it lasted.
#1030 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Loadeds Drummer Quits. » 861 weeks ago
I think the freak show that must follow all members of the AFD era GNR must be hard for sane people to take. I think most of them still have stalkers and shit to deal with.
After 20 years I'm sure Duff doesn't even notice but to an older guy like Geoff who has probably enjoyed his quiet family life its probably all a bit exhausting.
