Axl has more power than anyone else in the band, naturally, because none of the current members were even around when he went to court and obtained full rights to the band name. Do you think he would sign over a share of the rights, after fighting exhaustively with slash and duff to get them, to a group of musicians (whom most of which are long gone)?
Axl may very well allow input from the gang but he's very much in charge, creatively speaking.

Both. Casuals = GN'R / Hardcores = Appetite
the hardcores make up the majority of the people that went to the '06 shows. if axl provides us with a cd/uyi heavy tracklist, we're in. if axl releases a decent single, we'll take a few new fans with us, in addition to any vh fans that decide to stick around for gnr.
Wouldn't that be something if DJ himself became webmaster? That place would rule!
yeah yeah eh heh heh

but, axlin08, are they sick of gnr live or are they sick of appetite live?

that was ages ago. nothing has changed since then. the songs will still sound great live. hopefully, this guy will help axl put out another album after the tour. i'm surprised how surprised some of you are.

good post
i have been uncharacteristically content through the ups and the downs of being a gnr fan since this management was put in place. it seems they have found a way to hold axl accountable and motivate him to not stand still while maximizing the output on the business front.

I don't think any of these reasons for why it would not work are valid until the price of the ticket is considered.
for $40.00 eminem is gonna sell tickets to rap fans who are gonna leave after eminem is done.
and
for $40.00 gnr is gonna sell tickets to the rock fans who are gonna drop an additional 40 in the bar downstairs while they wait for axl.
put the two together and you have yourself quite the crowd on paper. add a hit single to the mix and you anoint a few new and young fans along the way .
who closes would not be a problem . most people would agree to let gnr close only because of axl's perference to perform late in exchange for eminem's name being listed on top on aall of the promo material. or something like that from the negoatiation room.
