#1261 Re: Guns N' Roses » GNR on 'Body of Lies' film soundtrack / confirmed by BP at CD.com » 899 weeks ago

Well I've seen this in about 5 different forums for the last few hours or so, some of them not being gn'r forums.

#1264 Re: Guns N' Roses » Rock Band 2 Rip » 899 weeks ago

Yah. Well...there IS a rip Neemo but not one of just the track itself in the listening mode. All the current rips(3-4) are done while playing an instrument with the crowd noise off. that's why some rips have more bass, or vocals or guitar.

Btw can you consider locking this mods? I'm sorry I posted this. It was labeled as a RB2 rip, but idk if it really was. sounds better than the demo.

I don't think SR will even be on the album.

There's not a chance in hell they'd play new songs during a reunion show, unless it was totally fresh material being worked for a fourth album.

Considering the fact that all Axl plays is the old catalog, there's not much doubt that a reunion show would be nothing but classic GN'R songs. Hopefully some more ILLUSION material will re-emerge.

I'd just like to step in and make a point that I'm sure James or Neemo would be happy to agree with me on. How many bands do you see play more than 3-4 songs from an album that isn't out yet? none. the reason is because people would hear a new song, and judge it from a live performance. You think a record company would want that to happen? no. Just please keep that in mind. People assume that because they've only played 3-4 new songs during a show that they wouldn't play more.

There have been so many false starts and broken promises that any updates or announcement Axl made would be viewed with (at best) skepticism, and I think he knows this. So instead he just chooses to stay quiet until there really is something concrete, like Shackler's.
I mean, honestly, would anyone believe him if he posted an update saying "We were shooting for a Thanksgiving release, but business arrangements didn't work out and now we're planning for early 2009"? You know everyone would cry "bullshit!"

So while I agree that the lack of updates is frustrating, I can understand why they're being tight lipped.

So I missed Axl's interview about SR and it's inclusion on RBII?  Sorry, but it isn't that simple.  Robin going to tour with NIN is concrete.  BH leaving was concrete.  The tours they went on (though with mixed results) were concrete.  Yet we've heard nothing from Axl Rose other than "Round 2" and a letter or 2 that he didn't even write.  And with all of this being the case, he's pissed at us (the fans) that have stuck with him and his revolving lineup of hired musicians for not supporting him unconditionally through all of this?

His band couldn't even support him unconditionally through all of this...I'm not sure how he expects the fans to.

He doesn't. He thinks most of us don't like him. That's why CD isn't out. (my opinion)

I play guitar. Me and a few friends are trying to start a band but we're having a hard time scheduling practices. I've got an Epi Les Paul Special II, a Squier Strat, and a Vox AD15VT. I can play bass a little. I mess around with drums although anything with a complicated bass I can't play well. If I took vocal lessons or got a few pointers from a friend I could do some vocals although not much since my voice can't do much rasp.

Yeah, but do any of you think that's kind of stupid in some level?

If Tommy is out, IF being the keyword, that would mean the only people left from the Rio III gig in 2001, would be Axl, Dizzy & Chris. WOW, a vocalist and two keys guys.

That would be utterly pathetic that even the NEW BAND had been replaced by a NEW BAND.

Slash_McKagen, the reason so many people keep talking reunion is because the puzzle pieces fit SO WELL right now, for really the first time - EVER. VR is dead, new GN'R never was, CD still ain't out, Axl might be without a lead guitarist & bassist, VR is without a vocalist, the whole thing is a clusterfuck, and Irving Azoff, who is BIG time, is GNR's manager a man who's recent accomplishments have been reuniting The Eagles for a successful comeback, and getting David Lee Roth back in Van Halen.

*cough* where does that not SCREAM GN'R reunion?

No where. Which is why this could VERY easily happen.
