I cant understand the love and praise for this song - its basically a poor Nov Rain rip off with 5th grade lyrics. Cheesier than a tramps cock.
its not even comparable to Nov. Rain or Estranged...it has nothing in terms of verse and music progression that those songs have, so i don't get the comparisons...
its a song on its own, the reason i like it is because unlike the rest of this album, it doesn't appear to be a over-engineered, over layered and over-produced piece of some studio experiment...
this one sounds like it could belong on UYI records, which should please old school GNR fans....i absolutely love the theatrics of it...it could easily be a part of some big ass stage musical...
my only comment on this is the guitar solo...when compared to other GNR ballads and the solos on those, this one falls flat on its ass...its just not strong enough of a solo to me composition-wise, its played well, but melody wise its weak, it doesn't match the vocals for shit...

another nice thing about this board is that it treats everyone with respect ...even though it may appear like they don't deserve it sometimes...
so take it easy on them insults...madison is not everyone's favorite...and neither is jarmo...but don't talk like that about them in an open space like this...

that felt terribly staged to me....how much of this is just plain hollywood sensationalism at play here...?...
i don't doubt the fact that Steven is fucked up on drugs, but he is a media whore, and knows exactly what to say and when to say it in order to get attention to his shit...
the whole Slash thing brings him back into the limelight easy, and it keeps the producers of the show happy, as he is generating controversy before the show even starts, which increases ratings...which increases his paycheck...which increases the drug supply...
junkies are the best situation manipulators out there...
i believe that he is in serious trouble, but i also think that he is acting most of the time on this....

watermarks mean shit....all it does is present a basic hurdle when it comes to ripping the disc initially....but once you get past it, which you can....should be smooth sailing...

the leaks haven't killed it for me...as a collector and a fan, i'm glad i have more than 1 version of the song....i like comparing, gives you insight into the process the band went through...
the general public don't really know much yet, we have to wait a bit more for the real PR to kick in...a few radio stations won't make too much of a dent in the music world...these guys need to get onto MTV and VH1 and start pimping it there if they are to get some real hype going...
and i agree with buzz on that the 2nd week sales will be a more accurate description of how the album is doing in the real world...but regardless, we also count...so if my 5 copies of the disc contribute to the overall tally...good for me....and them....

when you print a booklet, you do a double print on a single page, so when folded, you get 4 pages.....i.e...so you work in multiples of 4....

good to see that they haven't overkilled it with Photoshop....there's a little bit of touching up, but nothing major and offensive...
i dont like this new logo....that seems too "first year of college" kind of thing to me...
but at least we know that artwork was finally approved....
