Well, this is a really reliable source (I mean, the newspaper). But I dunno about their source, so, take it as a grain of salt. Also, shall I remember you that last year we had several rumors about shows in Brazil and nothing happened?
Maybe people here wouldn't be interested, but if this is true, it may be a good sign of things starting to moving again. Maybe with the album too. Here's hope!
My two cents is this. How can the album be in the hands of the record company? A record company who anticipates the next GNR album isn't going to hold it up. If it was in the record company's hands, we'd know. I mean, wouldn't promotion be starting if it was about to be released? And who is going to fund this promotion?
If this rumor is true, it can only mean one thing. The album isn't done and as Jameslofton would say, put on your cash grab tour hats folks.

pay back Interscope the 13 million he got advanced to make CD and then just release it on his own independent label?
Didn't Bumble say in chat that independent labels are better?
If Interscope is tired of dealing with GNR and Axl and Axl is stubborn and won't budge an inch when it comes to promotion or touring, etc. why won't both parties just cut their relationship and Axl pay back the money Interscope gives him and Interscope ends the contract they have with GNR/Axl

okay funny question Isn't it? ..but I'm interested in stuff like that..
I thought Axl always looked cool when he wore a bandanna..and I think his current style would go good with a banddana..the hair looks cool in a pony tail but a bandanna would look cool sometimes too

To those who have read Slash's book, I have a question.
Towards the end, when he talks about VR, he says that they did a show and the show comprised of industry people and also fans.
Now, is this something bands do before they get signed? Because Slash goes onto say that they did a week of wining and dining in NYC before they signed with Clive Davis and RCA.
I am just wondering if Axl and the new band had to ever go before just industry people to hear their songs live and maybe they didn't sound right or something and thus had the band go back and do finishing touches?
I also had that occurance come to mind on mygnr.com where that poster said they heard GNR songs come from an interscope office - kinda like an intimate listening party?
I am just trying to get a better grasp of the music scene. Bands tour to make money right? And to tour without an album would definately mean it's strictly money they are in need of. Could this be why GNR's set list was the same? Slash said that he and VR just clicked on stage and the industry people loved the vibe. Maybe these industry people know that GNR name will sell as well as AFD songs and UYI songs but thought the new songs needed to be reworked?

Britney is a brain dead meth head. When asked by the paparazzi about her sister's pregnancy, she said "no she's not, y'all". The pregnancy has been confirmed by Britney's sister, her mother, and Nickelodeon.
Someone should ask Britney what one plus one is. I would be willing to wager money she gets the answer wrong.
It's ironic you say that because I had heard that was the reason why she shaved her head. They were going to take away her children and drug test her hair so she immediately had it shaved off as she would have tested positive for meth use.

I was reading my new issue of Entertainment Weekly cover to cover (as I usually do) and came across an interesting tidbit. The Nicole girl from the Pussycat Dolls who has been working on a solo album since 2005 is under contract with Interscope. The album has been held up because Jimmy Iovine is notorious for holding back an album's release until every single song is up to his standards.
Apparently, he has been holding up Gavin Rossdales solo album for 3 years as well as a few others...many of these artists have called it "Jimmy Jail".
So, if GNR's album is being held up by the record company, it could be because of Jimmy Iovine himself.

Those of you who do not know who Jimmy Iovine is or why Interscope records has anything to do with GNR, look it up first, don't start a debate or a Q&A in this thread.
