i for one have always been a sucker for axl's ballads and it should be noted that i basically love all these songs with the exception of shackler's which i " like " i think the album will do o.k including debuting at # 1 but like james and others have noted, this album should have been released some 6- 7 years ago. with that said would we have better on this cd which may be the biggest hit potentially ? not that me or my family is the official gauge but i am 35 and my fav. has always been the blues. my brother is 44 and his fav. is if the world. my daughter is 12 and she loves prostitute. my son is 7 and his fav. is better.

well i for one believe around 99 to 2000 should have been the release of this album. i remember the spin issue in 99 with axl on the front and the whole " what the worl needs now is axl rose " cover. then the rolling stone shit around the same time. we might not have had "better" or another one or two perhaps but by now ( 2008 ) maybe the third album worth of shit would have come out already ( in a perfect world. ) great post by the way sic and great thread in general. another reason why i love this fuckin' forum.

sorry and scraped have a style that will suit a wide variety of rock fans and i believe they could both be potential hits. this i love although simple in a way might be the strangest ballad from axl yet. it reminds me of his old dust in the wind, it's all right, sail away sweet sister intro shit in that it is beautiful and almost hymn like but almost seems incomplete. i probably make no sence but anyways i am very satisfied overall.

i only want to comment on the songs that are done. i assume that shackler's is done and cd. i feel that on cd axl should have stuck with only one vocal on the versus. i can see doubling up on the choruses but two vocal tracks throughout is a bit much. i do like shacklers revenge but it would have been nice to have that be a rockband 2 exclusive and maybe left off cd.
