Be out of shape and don't sing for a year. Do a couple of shows cold turkey and he's back. The man continues to amaze me.
He looks and sounds more like a guy in his early 40s.

I could easily see something like the Spike TV Scream Awards or possibly a televised Golden Gods show doing something like that.
All you'd have to do is make everyone think Axl "blew off" the show all over again, just like HOF. Slash, Izzy, Duff & Steven are all standing on stage, and refusing to play saying "Axl didn't want to be here with you tonight", and then the big video shows outside Axl speeding up in his Lambo full blast, slamming on the brakes, jumping out, running full blast into the show with white Leather biker jacket and red bandana, in typical "Axl's late" fashion.
And then he just runs up on stage.
WHEREVER they were at, the fuckin roof would rip off that joint. Boos would turn into deafening cheers, just as the audience realized what they are about to see, and NO ONE would see it coming.
what was that about fanboys?

exactly what i was thinking, when i saw this on facebook. i couldn`t believe my eyes! the fact that axl truly believes his letter was met with a "overwhelmingly positive response" shows how out of touch with reality he really is.

Ultimately I reckon Axl bailed because the pressure from the record company for a reunion would become unbearable if he consented to perform with the old band at the R&RHOF. Which is not the sort of thing that he needs when he's just gearing up for a tour and possible album with the current band.
Wasn't there a rumour that he was going to call the next album "Guns N' Roses"? That'd be the most almighty "fuck you" to the world in the wake of the R&RHOF.
yeah, that`s the next logical step now. and it will be one more nail to the coffin...

some people won`t ever get it... i never quite realised how fanatic and delusional hardcore axl/ new gnr fans are. and that`s saying a lot, because i`m also a great axl supporter, but words can`t describe how fuckin sick of axl`s bullshit i am at the moment. he single-handedly destroyed one of the best rock bands ever and is to petty and big of an asshole to give the fans their 10 minutes of closure..

The band sounds great in all of those clips. I realized how much I missed Adler's drums on those AFD songs. He brings a certain something to those songs that I can't quite describe. The same thing for Duff's backing vocals on SCOM.

Wait, Axl actually did that? This is the first I've heard of it. Is that why there is no bluray or DVD release of that Stoke on Trent concert in the US? There is a region free version available from Amazon.co.uk though.

i`m a huge fan of the hollywood rose demos. reckless life, anything goes and killing time are bad ass rock songs and axl is fuckin killing it there! those vocals are some of my favourite he`s ever done.
