I can't really buy any media conspiracy theories against Trump. They have been invaluable to his campaign with the over the top amount of coverage he receives. Sure, they can be critical of him, but they've also been his biggest asset.

Even Fox is jumping through hoops to attack him. I've seen Bill O'Reilly pull every trick in the book to put the GOP front runner on the spot. Should that make sense?

They have only been an asset because he turned every hit piece they made back on them. The media isn't helping Trump, it is engaged in a concerted effort to bring him down. This week has finally brought fruits to their labors. That's why they say Trump hacked the system, because he managed to make every negative news story boost his popularity.

Is this why John McClane says "I'd rather be in Philadelphia"?

The post-CD-era would've been better without Ashba. Just Fortus and Ron.

Not only would it be better not enduring Ashba, it would have allowed Bumble to take the lead in the band. Perhaps that would have made the atmosphere different and kept some spirit going.

Finck and Fortus without Bumble would be interesting as well. Think I'd prefer that one. You can't really sell a nostalgia act with Finck, so forces Axl to keep going with the 01/02 sound.

If he really nailed YCBM it's his best show in 20 years. He hasn't pulled that one off since 93.

He nailed it in 2010 London gig for Duff's reunion.

My hope was that a Slash reunion would provide similar motivation for Axl to dig deep for his old voice and it seems that is what happened. He has a chance with this mega tour to shut up millions of doubters who think he can't sing anymore.

Was going to post the same thing. He stepped up his game when a legit member of guns was on stage. He did it again when Slash appeared. Slash is ready, looks like Axl is too

Wow. He stepped up his game massively there. Usually it's maybe one verse, then embarrassing. If that.

Agreed, looks to be a pattern with the old guys on stage. The CD era truly ended up as a cash grab, phoning it in.

Thank God this happened.

LOL,, now that'd be a shock... I'm pretty sure Breakdown was only performed a time or two during the early pre UYI release tour in '91.

Yeah, once in NY(recorded) and another night in Charlotte(no recording exists)

not 100% true - at least two recorded performances exist (Worcester 1991-12-06 and NYC 1991-12-13). not sure about Charlotte (probably 1991-06-23), because no known setlist of that show exists, the only information is that the set lasted 3 hours.

Breakdown was performed twice, both in 91.

The GNR fanbase is a the size of a large country. They have a lot of fans with a  lot of different backgrounds and musical interests. The GNR appeal goes far beyond the classic rock circle.

I know guys who would 200 for a GNR ticket and their entire music collection is hip-hop and dance music.
For some reason GNR transcends genre in way that bands like Ac/Dc or even Led Zeppelin and The Stones do not.
There's a vitality and sense of danger and edge to GNR that you find in Hip Hop, Dance music even some good Jazz stuff.

Very true. GN'R is sort of a melting pot. The guys come from all over the country, Slash even brings some English. Duff has the punk, Izzy has the classic rock. Axl and Slash are both four leaf clovers, they bring everything. They can carry a menacing rocker as well as an epic ballad. They appeal to men and women, rock fans and pop fans. The result is something for everybody.

#1730 Re: Guns N' Roses » what VR songs would you like added to the set list? » 528 weeks ago

If Axl reworks them, Slither and Headspace. Those riffs are killer. Other than that I don't want to hear any non GN'R stuff.
