Just echoing everyone else...
It'd be pretty fuckin' stupid for it to be a throwaway song. Plus Harmonix's people wouldn't be out there telling everyone it's the first new track officially from CD, the first single, etc.
I hate to break it to everyone, but Harmonix doesn't need Axl Rose to sell Rock Band 2. Axl Rose needs Harmonix to sell Chinese Democracy.
It's happening folks. The wheels on the bus are finally moving, and people have been burned so many times by false starts that the real thing is finally happening and they're so jaded they can't see it.
Just like certain people at MyGNR that alter posts to Buckethead, because they still can't accept that he's going to still be on the album, per the words of W. Axl Rose.
And they still deny.

He might not be lip synching. But the hit and miss stuff is even more glaring, because of his continued extreme arrogance. When you start striking out at the plate, the good will to keep you around is not going to be there.
Axl Rose has also been hit and miss, but Axl doesn't go around running his mouth how he's better than everyone.
Like all of our mothers taught us... when you don't have anything nice to say - don't say nothin'.

Agreed. Downloads for me are only worthwhile for albums that I just want to listen to maybe once or twice, but don't really care about beyond that.
Like you said, call me old fashioned, but I still get off on going down to the record store and picking the album up.

The key with GN'R is like any other band.
We'll get CD. Listen to it to death, and while we're waiting for the next album, we'll talk about the tracks.

Download-only is a good way for Uni to save $$$.
It's also a good way for them to not make any money.
Granted downloads are a profitable venture in music today, but millions and millions of people paying $15 a CD still means BIG money.

ANYTHING that Nolan or anyone else pulls from the Animated Series for the new franchise is a smart move.
The Animated Series was by far the most consistent, and solid Batman franchise. This new film franchise is starting to get up there.
I also think it's a fresh idea to bring in a totally different villian not seen in the films before. As long as it's not something like King Tut or The Clock King, lol.
But personal NO-ABSOLUTELY-NOT requests...
No Catwoman
--- I don't think Bale's Batman would work with a Catwoman. After events in TDK I think Bruce Wayne will become even more of a dark, reclusive, loner. Playboy will seem just stupid from this point forward. I don't see him even having a slight sexual attraction to a Catwoman type.
Poison Ivy - maybe
--- The good part about a Poison Ivy character is that Batman wouldn't have to worry about any kind of sexual tension. She's a villian he purely hates. That only problem with the Poison Ivy character is she's one of their more beyond belief characters. My thoughts have been to update the character. What about a global warming nut? Still plant loving, but global warming, enviroment nut Poison Ivy character? Who's willing to kill and commit crimes to get her point across.
No Robin for god fucking sake
