#211 Re: Guns N' Roses » Doug Goldstein Letter to Axl » 580 weeks ago
According to wiki the first child sex allegations came out against MJ in 1993. So I'm not sure how that fits with Doug's timeline of Axl being pissed with Slash in 1991 for playing with MJ. Was Axl psychic that in 2 years time MJ was going to be accused?

But Slash's number one flaw he still has is he records a bit too much material imo. The last three solo albums could've been mulled into 12-track best of's, and cut the fat. Some songs are great (a few), while others smack of Slash's entire career post-Guns... not great, not awful, just kinda there. And World On Fire is no exception.
Yeah I agree with this. I think (and I'm sure Slash has even said this), he likes the touring/playing aspect of the whole "album/tour" cycle. Seems to me the album aspect is a necessary chore for him to complete so he can get back out on the road again and play live. Consequently rather than sit in the studio and keep working away coming up with new/better ideas, I think he settles for some average filler just to get the album completed and hit the road again.
He needs an "Axl" telling him something isn't good enough or it needs more work. Just like Axl needs someone pulling him up from tinkering with something ad infinitum. They are the ying and yang.

So..
What I'm getting from this, is that Jarmo is basically a gutless, mooching, spineless, worthless little shit that lives off Axl worse than those green card scumbags known as the lebeis family...?!
Just checking
I suspect you already knew who Jarmo was before asking that question.
No need for those sort of comments here thanks. If you don't like him or his site or his involvement with Guns I suggest you ignore him.
#215 Re: Guns N' Roses » Ron leaving the band after Vegas? » 588 weeks ago
Interesting summary Apex-Twin.
Shame Rons out coz he genuinely seems like a good guy, but I don't think he's missing out on anything other than a potential future touring pay check. I think pulling the pin is a good call by Ron (assuming it was his call). Guns isn't going to satisfy his creative/artistic outlet for new music/composing. Seems to me that it's probably time for him to move on. Guns has been good for Ron and vice versa, but I think the potential benefit for both parties has reached a limit.

It would be great to hear the album as it was first handed into Universal way back in the early 2000's when they apparently rejected it.
My guess is whoever vetoed it at Uni might have more than a little big of egg on their face when compared with what we eventually got and the benefit of hindsight.

Intentions and chatter are all great, but there is nothing solid out there in terms of evidence.
One of the home studios is probably being used for recording, and nothing has been sent out for mastering yet.
There is no news without noise.
Have you heard anything of the potential material? Is it the old stuff from the Buckethead era that's just been reworked and reworked with any new band member adding a bit here and there, or is there a chance of some brand new stuff amongst it?

I thought Kaneda was just an attention seeking troll? The guy also posts on a forum called pinside (it's the same dude) and much the same as in the GN'R community it appears the guy simply craves attention. He has been worked out over there pretty quickly, here is some comedy for you (note the number of thumbs down any post he makes gets).

At least it would be interesting!

Good news if true, she was a viper.
Sad for the kids but that woman seemed like a cliche, just wanting to be famous for being married to someone who was famous.
