Edit - Added the Aussie box set into my first post.

Even if it wasn't a disc skip - the fact is it does sound like one (to me anyhow).  So surely that is not the effect he was trying to convey with the music.

If Axl couldn't hear it because he is too close to the whole thing (which I could understand, it would get like that after listening to stuff you write over and over) - why again did someone not pipe up and tell Mr Rose that perhaps the way he wanted it, didn't sound quite right.

Presumably because anyone with a backbone and independent thought pattern no long works in that camp.  They were weeded out a long time ago.

Ok - I'll lighten up with the skipping thing now.   But if Axl apparently thought it was worthy of comment, I felt then I could throw my 2 cents in too.  Just from an outsiders pespective a lot of things seem really frustrating.  But many of these things could be fixed by someone with some balls to offer some good constructive criticism - on a lot of things.  We all benefit from that from time to time.

Over at HTGTH Jarmo just posted this about the skip in the song:

Per Axl:

The song sounds like it should sound.

The skip you hear is intentional. It's not a defect.

/jarmo

Gee apparently the skip was of course intentional, I wouldn't have expected anything less to come out from the propaganda machine.

Well now that Axl has been able to clarify what is going on with a miniscule sound in the song Scraped - perhaps he may like to address some of the bigger isues and share with us what the plan is from here.

Next they will probably send out a myspace bulletin to let everyone know that Axl intentionally wanted to have a skip in the song.  May I suggest they use the template of one stolen motorcycle myspace bulletin for such an alert to the public.  If I recall correctly that when down a real treat with the fans.  16

Ahaha - you saw that pic on my myspace.

Very true - if I could simply find a record store here in Oz that has some promo stuff I might be able to get one.

It definitely would fit nicely next to the UYI dispaly.

Only a couple so far, been waiting to see what else comes out then try and do an order all at once so I can combine a whole lot in postage.

Also those promos CD's started off bloody expensive and are only just coming down to a price where I'm tempted.

Yeah that damn discog - I'll update it.  It will be the death of you and me 17

Did you see that Canadian fanpack at your local store Neemo?

Was hoping members here could help me out.  I need to update some of the new releases and promos for CD in the discography section of the website.

I'm also a tragic collector so there is some self interest here too.  I'm looking for any cool stuff to collect as well.

So far this is what I can find:

Promo CD's:

Promo 7" Single:

Regular German CD Single:

HMV Canada Fan Pack of CD and T-shirt, also a release of the CD with some promo coasters:

Horrifically overpriced Ultimate Merchandise Box Set consisting of the following (cd, patch or belt buckle not sure exactly what it is, keyring, t-shirt) all for a paltry $120.99 Canadian dollars:

This on the other hand is really cool.  If anybody has one and wants to sell it to me please let me know.  It's a VIP kit from one of the listening parties.  It has a VIP laminate pass, t-shirt, and a Chinese takeout box with the GNR logo on it. Inside the box are a Chinese fingercuffs, dragon rubon tattoo and a fortune cookie.  The fortune inside the cookie says Guns N' Roses Chinese Democracy available everywhere Sunday November 23.

If anyone knows of any other unique releases I don't know about or promo items, please let me know.

Edit - found another one.  This is now on offer at JbHifi here in Oz.  Good for me it's like the Canadian box set but with a bandanna and no postage costs wink - Price $129AUD

Scraped and Riad.

Surely out of those rumoured 40-60 songs there are two songs better than these ones (particularly Scraped)??  For me these fall into the abortion bucket with Silkworms.
