The threats are more to appease their people rather than actually threaten us.

Obviously, reunion, is the ultimate answer here. Even if they somehow handled the release of CD perfectly and we got a massive marketing campaign and promotional blitz, some people still wouldn't be satisfied
I can say I wouldn't see them again without a shadow of a doubt. Believe me or don't. Guns N' Roses played 2 shows in January within an hour of me and I only went to one and not because of any reason other then I didn't care enough to see both shows. I will not see them again ever unless they reunite. I still don't own an actual copy of CD so I think I can and do, do what I say I'm gonna do. I never said "never" about seeing them again before. I am now. NOTHING will change my mind other than a reunion. Trust me on this one. They could play my home town and I'm not going. Like I said I've seen it enough times now and I see no reason whatsoever to see them again. I believe I even said this right after seeing them and claiming how good it was. I've run my own course with Axl's fake Gn'R. I'm over it and have no desire to see it again. That's all.
And it's not even about being satisfied with it anymore. I just dont' care about it. I don't want it, I have no interest in this mock version of Guns N' Roses. I mean honestly I was all for this in the begining but in 2006 I stopped caring. I'm only on here cause of the members and it's something to discuss. As you can tell I'm raely online anymore. I truely don't care about this version or any version other than a reunited Gn'R. It's just gotten so stale and lame. All the drama and shit is so boring now cause it's just never ending. It's like that person who has a secret and brags about it for so long without telling you that eventaully you just have zero interest in it and then when they finally tell you you don't care. That's how I feel about this Guns N' Roses.
reunite and do something great or just quit cause it's such a fucking farce now it's not even funny.
Wow just wow.
Can't say that I blame you. I flew all over the country to see the band before. Would I do that today? Nope. The excitement just isn't there anymore. I'd probably see a show here close to me, and MAY go a couple of hours away to see them, but that's it. No more trips to NYC, LV etc...forget it.
The entire secrecy thing is old and lame too. Why CAN'T you talk to us about the remixes? Why can't you come out and give more specifics? What's the big fucking deal here anyway? Shit like that wears thin after a while.
Yes there is more communication now than ever, but at the same time..who cares now? Too little too late. Remixing CD? Really? How long are we going to work this album anyway? We've been going on ten years now, let it go already.
I think that's the reason most people want a reunion, over a half-assed "new GN'R"
If they're not moving forward, might as well just get the original guys back.
That's my reason. He had his chance, and he made a mockery out of the brand name imo.

Put out some videos, go on TV for some appearances (and don't run out of breath), show up on time to shows, play true surprise small gigs and blow people away.
Or just put out a new album (yea right.)
Or get it over with and have a reunion (yea right.)
None of these will happen though.

Something tells me that this show has the makings for a classic Axl meltdown....
Oh it could get ugly REAL quick.

UFOs and aliens my ass. This is obviously a U.S. "black project" being unveiled.

No doubt about that, the others maybe, but fernando? Who gives a fuck what that guy thinks.

MisterID, I thought the "If the world/slither" mashup was badass!
Me too, I thought it was awesome.
#2708 Re: Guns N' Roses » GNR remix album » 781 weeks ago
Hmm that's really interesting. Perhaps a fully remixed album, with promo, videos, a US tour etc may be the intended strategy.
Axl will try and sell it as being the way the he wanted the album to come out and be promoted etc etc, instead of the way that the big bad record company and management released it.
Poor Brain may have inadvertantly let the cat out of the bag.
That theory is delicious man, wouldn't that be awesome? It would also make sense why there is no video etc...

I grew up with this band, bought the AFD cassette until I wore it out and then bought another. Bought Lies right after. A few years later I stayed up partying with my best friend (RIP) until the midnight release where we bought UYI I and II.
Then there was silence.
The new band emerged; I accepted and supported that. Followed all the board speculation and forum drama through the wait. Saw the new band over a half a dozen times in as many years. Loved the new music, loved the musicians, and looked forward to the release of CD.
The irony was that when the music finally came is when I started to feel different about GnR. The revolving door of players began to wear on me. For the first time this began to feel more like a solo project then GnR.
No video, no real promotion to speak of, no TV appearances, not much of anything really. Maybe I expected too much? Perhaps I looked back to my younger years for what I thought was supposed to happen: MTV exclusive video, GnR on David Letterman etc. Maybe I was being unrealistic? But ultimately at the end of the day, Axl didn't do jack shit with what he had. He had years to put together a knock out punch and gave us a big ole powder puff instead.
Sure the music was good, but after several listens it was apparent what the problem was. There was no cohesiveness with this album. Clip n' paste, from varying time periods was what I was listening to. It sounded EXACTLY like what it was: Many different musicians, inputs, opinions, rehashes, and tweaks, over an extended period of time. In other words, a solo project.
Yes they are out touring now, yes they are all talented, and yes they sound great live. But nothing they do mirrors a band. The group profile is strikingly absent, from the marketing all the way down to the sound of the new music.
In the long run one must face reality. Nobody sabotaged Guns n' Roses except for one person. What's even worse than that is talent (ie the old band) snuffed out by ego. The reality is Axl made a mockery out what was once a great band, and that's a fucking shame.
#2710 Re: The Sunset Strip » Vince Neil arrested on DUI charge in Vegas » 783 weeks ago
One would think the incident in the 80s taught him something. Guess not.
My thoughts exactly. His DUI back then killed his friend/passenger. To even think about driving drunk after something like shows what a complete asshole this guy is. I don't care if it's two decades later. Because of this history he should be thrown in jail for a year at least, although that will never happen. The guy's a total fucking loser.
