#3611 Re: The Sunset Strip » Baz blames internet for album tanking, no new album for "a LONG time" » 926 weeks ago

I think he is taking it a little too far. Sure downloaders played a part in it but they weren't the only reason why it tanked. That's the world we live in at this point in time. I'm a fan but throwing in the towel for this would be a bitch way out. 13,000 people went out and bought his album and other fans paid for tickets to see him perform so for those people they get shitted on? Like russtcb said why feel bad? I bought the album and if he wants to bitch then let him look like the idiot. He also has to realize he isn't today's news and expecting high numbers especially in the downloading age is dumb. There was radio promotion and it was good. That's what prob got the CD to 13,000. His TV spots were all geared at the wrong audience. He did that Rap show for MTV and none of those kids are going to buy his album. They should have focused his TV time on programs where his audience would be watching.

He nailed the Joker as far as I am concerned. The laugh is perfect. This movie looks like it will own a lot of ass.

#3613 Re: The Garden » The Scrooge Thread » 926 weeks ago

The fact that only the most retarded pieces of shit drive during this season. So bad that my car is in the shop now and will cost me up the ass..

Other than that I dislike all the "fake" niceness people like to dish out during the season. Oh and the fact that people in this world are so fucked up we cant even say MERRY CHRISTMAS on TV or on signs.. Happy Holiday bullshit is annoying...

And the rant is done.

5. Ghosts Along the Mississippi
6. Beautifully Depressed
7. Dog Tired
8. Where I'm Going
9. Rehab
10. Hail the Leaf

It's nothing. A few of those songs were on a worst of list. They don't put much thought into these things anymore.

As previously reported, VELVET REVOLVER has rescheduled its postponed Australian tour to mid-February, according to News.com.au. The trek, originally slated for last week, was scrapped at the last minute due to unspecified "health issues" in the band. However, the postponement coincided with news that VELVET REVOLVER singer Scott Weiland was arrested last month for allegedly driving under the influence of a drug. Bassist Duff McKagan insisted that the "health issues" were the main reason for the tour's postponement, explaining, "(Exhaustion) has a lot to do with it, it really does. There are a couple of issues health-wise that have been coming to a head and everything will be rectified. These guys are resilient."

Both drug and health issues have dogged members of VELVET REVOLVER before. Guitarist Slash told The Pulse of Radio the story behind the revelation in his recently published autobiography that he has a pacemaker attached to his heart. "There was a certain kind of a slow, impending doom with that," he said. "I was very uncomfortable and basically pretty miserable, but working through it for a while, and then finally decided to go to the doctor. The next thing you know, you know, I'm looking at, 'You're gonna die in six days to six weeks,' or whatever."

The Australian dates will now take place between February 15 and February 20. A Japanese trek that was also scrapped has yet to be rescheduled.

It's a great read for fans of Slash or Gn'R. No where does he state he is 100 right or remembers stuff to the fullest. So with him stating that over and over again the book I fail to see how people get off on showing things that are "wrong" or "right".

Ever seen Sebastian live?  I'd much rather go to one of his shows and watch him do his thing than see some 60 year old farts have a heart attack on stage. hmm

That's just retarded. Its Led fucking Zeppelin. And judging by the boots those "old farts" can still rock the fuck out.

i've never been a huge Zeppelin fan tho dude.   they had some good songs and all, but I think it would have been better left back in the 70s.

That I can understand. I just didn't take it seriously with the old fart comments. Love em or dislike them they forever left their mark on music in general and by the ticket sales and recent merch sales the world still wants their Zeppelin.
