The BR format is amazing. Looking at dvd's now is like looking at an old vhs tape. The detail is staggering and you get a completely different movie experience.
Then again, if I'm buying Halloween III I'll go with the dvd. Some movies are meant to be of low quality. Only thing that irritates me is this ridiculous downsizing of the covers. I have over 600 dvds and now I have to put the blu rays by themselves instead of incorporating them into my refined system. If you want to find a movie at my place you need to know your shit.

Getting The Dark Knight on Blu Ray in a couple of hours.

I'm disappointed that what should be a great event is feeling more like some cop out ending to a Michael Bay movie. The album's out and it's a great album. Couldn't be happier really. Sure, a couple of more unheard songs would be cool, but that's got nothing to do with album itself.
Still Axl and the band acts like this is some non event on par with the Greatest Hits release. We the fans have stood by and waited for all these years, and when it happens the man himself acts like he couldn't care less. Well, if Axl doesn't care why should we? There are no announced plans, no tour lined up, no talking, no nothing. So what are the fans supposed to think?
I kinda feel he shouldn't have released it at all when this is how it turned out. If all CD is going to give us is another undetermined wait for an undetermined product I can't say I'm very interested in going along anymore. There's a tour coming up? Sure, I'm looking forward to it. There's another album in the works? Sure, I'm looking forward to it. There's a reunion coming? Sure, I'm looking forward to it.
This guessing game however is definitely over. Axl could be dead and nobody would notice for 3 months. Area 51 employees communicates more than this joke of a band.

Asking people to stop the old/new debates is like asking people to stop killing each other, there are no easy solutions and it's not likely to change any time soon.
Personally I don't mind comparisons to the old band being brought up. The problem is when 2-3 persons start posting page after page literally trying to ram their righteousness into each other. You've all seen it, a perfectly neutral comment gets this response "So what you're really saying is that (insert inane statement created to produce an emotional response)".
It's not about opinion, it's about the attitude. And the more emotional the subject is the worse the attitude. I swear to god, even holocaust and 9/11 debates tend to be more civil than some of these old/new wars.

Not having TV and radio makes it even easier.:slash:
You should listen to some of the stuff that goes on in the mainstream over here though. Basically it's subpar copies of your shit

Time magazine also made Adolf Hitler man of the year back in the 30s. Obviously there hasn't been a whole lot of intellectual development since then.
If that list is what goes on on radio today I'm glad I don't listen to it. I actually don't have a clue to any of those songs. Never heard the titles even.
That makes me a little proud.

New World Order now being taught in High School history books...

1970- the Present.
Focus: Understanding the main idea.
NAFTA is mentioned as one of the ground pillars..
Chapter 33 of course. Gotta have that Masonic touch.
They don't even need to implement it. Kids growing up will just assume it's been there forever. Just like we grew up thinking democracy was eternal.
