I looked em up and i thought they were awful.. just nothing else to say about em theyre that pointless
All rock music today is pointless - regardless, they are more popular than GnR (at least in the US) with the fans that Axl needs to attract for CD to be a success.

Either that or no one sits on one web page for 1.25 hours to listen to a whole CD. I'm a fan and don't even have time for that.
Well, IF I heard something that was that good and as anticipated as CD supposedly is, at the VERY least I'd listen to the beginning of the other songs to see if I liked them before logging off. The top songs are all the first 4 with a pretty significant drop off from there.
I did listen to Better and TWAT quietly here at work - the volume wasn't loud enough to hear any details, but both sounded ok to me for the first listen. I look forward to a more quality (and louder) listen this weekend to the whole album.

The thread is a little misleading. At the most, only 170K actually listened to every single song. Most had no more than 225K listens. CD got 800K+ by being the song that plays automatically when people go to the page, no other song has more than 500K and only 4 songs had more than 300K. It's a pretty good indication that people were curious enough to want to listen and weren't impressed enough by what they heard to keep listening.

I don't blame them...I'd stay as far away from this version of GnR as possible as well. Whether you like them or not, Hinder is more popular today than GnR with the crowd GnR needs to attract if CD is actually meant to be successful and not just something they are getting out of the way for something bigger.

I have a PS3 and it's been great. No problems at all with it. I'm sure it does things that I haven't even thought about yet.

I just re-read both of the reviews. Pretty biased - throw them out with the ones that say the album sucks. one of them even admits his bias making his entire review worthless. What an idiot.

hard to accept that people may like the album....
No, it's hard to accept that what fans are calling a cluttered mess has more interesting guitar parts than the only (if the record still stands) 2 albums by the same band to be number 1 and 2. It's ok that this guy likes it...that's actually easy to accept. It's even ok that he thinks it's more interesting on guitar than UYI is. He's as entitled to his opinion as the rest of us are...he's no more qualified than most of us are (in fact I'd argue less qualified than most of us are) to make a comparison between the 2 since we are much more intimately familiar with both pieces than he is.
The fans that prefer the new band (not to mention the fans that prefer the old band) can't even agree on liking it. That's a pretty telling tale...far more damning than anything I could say or some reviewer could write. If the people that desperately want the album to succeed can't agree on what songs are good and what songs aren't (though almost every one of them will admit there are some good and some bad ones), how do you think the rest of the world is going to view the album? If we aren't collectively blown away by anything on the album...

I still haven't heard them and may not have the time to until this weekend anyway, so I'll likely wait until Sunday.

hey buzz welcome back...i was wondering what happened to you
Thanks Neemo - I actually had better things to do than worry about GnR. A lot of fun, sun, alcohol, and relaxation...just enough to hold me over until I go to Ft Lauderdale for Christmas. I ran up about $900 in bar charges alone.

Why would people ever think Slash wasn't in this band anymore? He must be collecting a shitload of royalties off its marketing campaign alone.
To be fair, it was the radio stations ad, not GnRs. They actually made fun of the time it's taken as part of the ad.
