I just wanted to personally thank Ron and everyone on the staff for this promotion. I got the CD and picture and it's awesome.

It was, and it was awesome. My first show ever.
I've seen a lot of concerts there (KISS, Aerosmith twice, etc), but didn't go to this one for some reason. Glad you got to enjoy it.

Hey Pa. You don't need to convince me...I won't vote for either of them. You need to get the Dems to convince the American people. So far, they get a D. They need to get at least to a C+ to have a chance to win the election. The American people as a whole are pretty ignorant when it comes to politics and especially finance. Most people can't handle their own money and blame banks and the rich for their failures. Yes, they need to feed it to them on a spoon and follow it up with a reality chaser. Or we can welcome McCain into office. It's up to the Dems to decide how lazy they want to be.

There have been so many false starts and broken promises that any updates or announcement Axl made would be viewed with (at best) skepticism, and I think he knows this. So instead he just chooses to stay quiet until there really is something concrete, like Shackler's.
I mean, honestly, would anyone believe him if he posted an update saying "We were shooting for a Thanksgiving release, but business arrangements didn't work out and now we're planning for early 2009"? You know everyone would cry "bullshit!"So while I agree that the lack of updates is frustrating, I can understand why they're being tight lipped.
So I missed Axl's interview about SR and it's inclusion on RBII? Sorry, but it isn't that simple. Robin going to tour with NIN is concrete. BH leaving was concrete. The tours they went on (though with mixed results) were concrete. Yet we've heard nothing from Axl Rose other than "Round 2" and a letter or 2 that he didn't even write. And with all of this being the case, he's pissed at us (the fans) that have stuck with him and his revolving lineup of hired musicians for not supporting him unconditionally through all of this?
His band couldn't even support him unconditionally through all of this...I'm not sure how he expects the fans to.

So you believe that his issues are not at all with the material and only with himself? I just want to make sure I understand your point properly.

Look how the Dems are doing nothing to change it??!
Personally, I think we're better off than we would have been had the election results been different, though I cannot prove it any more than you can prove we're worse off. All I know is you can't keep doing the same thing that has failed over and over and expect it to suddenly work.
The Dems need to do more than talk about change...talk is cheap. They need to put out solid proposals that are so well thought out that the American people will buy into them. They need to provide evidence that these proposals will bring change. Get people thinking and using their heads...playing the smear campaign is going to hurt them. You can't go onto someone else's playing field and expect to knock them off playing their game.

I too enjoy being able to breathe. My mom smoked for 30+ years before she died from cancer. Going smokeless was the best thing that happened to public places in my opinion.
That said, I'm not sure it's the government's job to tell people they cannot smoke in privately owned businesses. If the business chooses to go smokefree, I will likely go there more often as a result, but they shouldn't be forced to go smokefree.

It's a moot point, McCain's going to lose anyway.
I don't have a dog in this fight, but this is exactly the thinking that got and kept Bush in office.
