Also, at some point very soon, you might be tempted to cut off that Kim Thayill beard and get yourself presentable. DON'T DO IT! RUN RUN RUN! Once it's gone, it's gone forever.

Oh, and if you get away clean, SEND HELP! big_smile big_smile

Heh, that's funny. You're not THAT young, but the reason I asked is because when I (at 37) saw questions about family, I immediately started thinking about my wife and kids. Whereas your questions were talking about Mom, Dad and siblings. It was sort of a tip off.

No shit. The same shitbirds that want protective tariffs on solar panels want to sell us gas at inflated prices because the Chinese want to buy it too.

DONE- good luck. Just out of curiosity, you a young guy? I'll tell you why I ask if you tell me. wink

I'm in the same boat as Axlin- it's still barely got me watching <at some point> every week, but killing off Jimmy was stupid and gratuitous, and what's left is really paint by numbers.

The addition of the crazy emotionless mob guy who kills at the slightest hint of being slighted is fun, but also pretty pat.

By the way you two up there- if horror and awesome are at all your bag, and you're not so young that anything that came out before 1999 already looks dated to you, GO SEE THE ORIGINALS ALREADY! big_smile

Russ, I'm way overdue on thanking you for this link- it probably would have been some time before I stumbled on it myself.

I'm a HUGE Evil Dead/Raimi/Campbell fan (and horror in general), and I think this thing looks great. It's got all the backers, it looks gory as all fuck without being torture porn. As far as camp goes, well, the first one was the lightest on camp so it will be interesting to see if they try to play it straight or not.

What really intrigues me is the idea of this being successful enough to have sequels. What direction might THAT take?  If this one plays it fairly straight, it could easily branch off in sequels as a straight horror franchise. OR, they could go the obvious route and remake the next two movies. My fear is that camp-horror and ED's success was at least partly due to time and place and HUGELY due to the Raimis and Campbell's hammy awesomeness. Could someone else pull that off well? I don't know.

And a third direction would be the prequel route- which could be played straight, campy, or a sweet mix of both.

No matter what, I'm psyched for this film, and hoping it's kicked off by some local theaters putting the originals up on the big screen.

Before my brain caught on that the audience was being prompted (shame on me as a fanatical Larry Sanders fan), my stomach actual got butterflies when they said Richard's name- I was really nervous the place would go into polite golf claps.

No intention to upgrade for quite some time. First off, I LOVE Windows 7. Second, this thing could be the next ME/Vista, and I wouldn't want to be an early adopter til I see what kind of pick up rate it gets.
