Cool that Izzy played. I've always liked 14 years.
A cynic could say it's funny how in his attempt to move forward he delves even further into the past.
Oh well it would have been nice to see if you were there.

I would like to hear what old Doug Goldstein has to say about all this. Axl's boy when all this went down. Something tells me we will never hear that tale!
I believe Axl, or rather his "camp" (Axl's lawyer, then Beta, then Del) attempted to get Goldstein involved asking him to side with Axl's version of events a few years ago. But Dougie had a different version of events from both Axl's as well as Slash N Duff's.
Doug recollects that John Reese the UYI Tour Manager had called him saying that Axl had said he wouldn't go onstage during the UYI tour unless they signed off the name. Doug also disagrees with the assertion by Slash and Duff that he told them to sign off on the name.
Besides Doug at the time didn't care too much to go out of his way to help Axl. He was still smarting over missing out on a $1,000,000 payment when Axl left Sancuary with Merck. Axl and Merck did that deed 2 weeks prior to Doug getting the back end of the deal he did with Sanctuary for the said sum of money.
Also before anyone (or one person in particular) asks, no this information is not recorded anywhere on the public record that I can provide a "link" to for proof. So feel free to take it with a grain of salt.

It's a shame we don't have the "Exhibits" that were attached to that 2004 lawsuit. The lawsuit states that a copy of the "Memorandum of Agreement" (i.e. the document they signed the name over in) was attached to the lawsuit as "Exhibit A", except whoever got that court document didn't get the exhibit with it, or maybe it wasn't available?
Shame they charge to serach the Superior Court of California records as I wondered if it was actually there.

I will say this, listen to the 1992 Paris rant before double talkin jive. What would that Axl say about today's Axl? Something tells me it would t be good. Classic rant about Warren Beatty.
I would really love to know what the Axl at the start of this video would say to the Axl today:

Given that some people here have said in the past that they think This I Love and Street Of Dreams are about Slash, I'm not surprised what a farce this thread is.
I read this post and I don't even understand what it is supposed to mean or what your point is?

You must post a pic of yourself first so Axl's fans can assess the worthiness of your genetics.
I should caution you too since there are a lot of people that feed from the GN'R teet, so you will need robust milkers!

The statute of limitations on written contracts in California is four years, which would place the timeline to take legal action against Axl's ownership of the name into 1997 or 1996 depending on which timeline you believe. As I said, Axl left the partnership in 1995. So, he did not in fact wait until the statute of limitations had passed. So, sorry, but that is a non-factor.

If it's four years then that certainly makes it a plausible scenario. Not sure why you are suggesting they could only have signed over the name in 1992 or 1993. Other than that fits for you to say that this wasn't an issue since Axl took off with the name in 1995.
Nobody knows for sure when they signed over the name. It's suggested it took place either on the UYI Tour or when the Geffen renegotiation Niven set up was finalised. Axl sacked Niven in March 1991 and Niven has stated in past interviews there was no formal partnership agreement between the members when he was there. He had the bands lawyer Peter Paterno draw one up but it sat in a draw unsigned because the redhead refused to sign it. So after he sacked Niven in March 1991 they eventually signed the Geffen renegotiation and quite possibly this partnership agreement about the name.
So it's a plausible scenario that it was signed in 1991 and then after 4 years expired - 1995 Axl left.
Not saying this was definitely a factor in Axl's thinking but for you to dismiss it like you did is inaccurate, it's quite possible.

Maybe Ron's is sharing some of his medication and tips with him for managing the pain.
That vid reminds me of this one:
#670 Re: Guns N' Roses » Sharon Maynard (Yoda) » 728 weeks ago
Yeah she died in 2007.
Apparently much land in Canada was bought with GNR $$'s, but her husband Eliott eventually had to sell a lot of it after Yoda's death in an effort to support other interests.
Apparently after her death Elliot offered up a Yoda substitute in an attempt to keep the $$'s rolling in "Yoda" style. She was also oriental and coached no doubt.
I also heard that Axl got taken for seven figures by these charlatans in Sedona. I suppose with exorcisms at the discount price of $75,000 and weekend confabs at $25,000 per head it wouldn't take long for the $$'s to rack up.
Apparently certain staff members around Axl were also required to pay a monthly retainer to Yoda of $10,000. I'm sure it was money well spent Dougie.
Even funnier I have heard that the Maynards themselves would occasionally let their loose lips disparage and mock Axl. Lovely way to have treated your cash cow!
