I only found out about this site today, when I spoke to Lofton. Yeah, I think I'm back to the forums...
Locked myself at home studying for over a year to get a place in the best History university of Latin America, got my (positive) results and now I'm here.
I can't guarantee I'll always be posting... I don't even know what's up with GNR these days, so, I'll post if I come across anything interesting enough to discuss about.
I think most of you know who I am, but those who don't:
I'm Amanda, a 17 year old girl from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
hey mandy - I remember you from HTGTH - good to see you here!

Nice to see the white stripes picking up well-deserved awards as well. I try and avoid the media furore around Amy W - pretty hard to living in London - every time she goes out for a fkn lollipop we have to hear about it. I do think she is talented though - its not my usual kind of music but she surprised me on her second album. always nice to get into music you wouldnt normally expect to like.

what a shame. hope he manages to kick his demons and deal with whatever is going on. I do feel bad for the Aussie fans who have certainly been let down. If I had paid out for air fares across what is a huge country - i would be fucked off, no question. But - I do hope he gets better for once and for all. I've always been a Scott and STP fan and was personally really excited when VR evolved. I've thoroughly enjoyed seeing them a fair few times here in UK and was looking forward to the March gigs. Wonder what will happen. It would be good to end on a better note than this - if this is the countdown to the finish,as some would say.

A tv show called Freshly Squeezed on Channel 4 in the UK celebrated Axls birthday by showing the Paradise City music video
It was the first thing I saw when I switched on the TV this morning
nice way to start the day!
Happy birthday Axl - hope you had a great day and an even better year to follow
#67 Re: Guns N' Roses » HMV says "CD not a scheduled release this year" » 909 weeks ago
I think its a case of HMV has offered the pre-order for CD for a few years now - and they must have some internal procedure in place that if any item is still unavailable to the consumer after a certain amount of time from it being at the pre-order status on their website (say 18 months for example) - perhaps its their policy to cancel all pre-orders until they get further word that its ready. Just my thoughts. I wont put any sway or faith in HMV knowing before we do.

#69 Re: The Sunset Strip » Most Recent Movie You've Seen » 911 weeks ago
Watched Mirrormask the other night. weird doesnt cover it. now I like "fantasy" films and loved Pan's Labyrinth for example. As a kid I was really drawn to the darker themes in Labyrinth (honestly, it wasnt just david's tight trousers...!) and the dark crystal and return to oz - but this..... Well. i was aware that Neil Gaiman had a hand in it (as a writer) and have read and enjoyed some of his work previously (Sandman) - but I just couldnt get with this at all. would go so far as to say it was one of the least enjoyable movies I've ever watched. It's also one of the few films I didnt bother watching the ending! It was made by the Jim Henson company - so i wasnt expecting it to be quite so fkn hard to watch. I honestly dont know what to say about this one apart from that I think I'd rather watch almost anything else than see it again! As a comic book - it would probably have held my attention a lot more - somehow in the filming process, it just lost it completely. Anyone here seen it?

eek - you woke up during it?! well, at least you were pretty out of it ! I had all four out about ten years ago. was totally out of it once sedated and woke up once it was all over and remembered nothing, which was preferable! I didnt have too much swelling - a little bit, but it felt a lot bigger than it looked. I stayed at home for 3 days on pain killers (co-codamol) and then was pretty much fine and trying eat normally. I swilled my mouth out a few times a day with warm salt water to keep the gums clean and that really helped recovery time.
heh heh - I do remember the nurse asking me if i was in pain after I came round and me being totally up for the morphine. Had that, then later tried to head off to the bathroom. luckily my mum was there to help as apparently I set off down the corridor, then sat down pretty quick on the floor saying " oh god, mum, I'm so fucking off my face, fk, I'm totally fucked" etc! she aint the sweary type - but handled it all quite well apparently!
