Yeah...I think Fortus is good from his solo spots..not his rhythm playing....it's clear he has some chops...blues rock with a little bit of speed and shreddy stuff too....
What i don't understand is why everyone except Neemo is so anti Ron?
Although I'll be the first to say I don't care much for his live tone (just the settings on his amp are not what i would set to - but hey thats a personal preference - he probably doesn't like the clothes I wear! lol)
But Ron is definately one of the most technical and formidable guitarists out there. He can pretty much handle anything thrown at him in a way that 90% of people you'd hire to be in GNR would not be able to.
I tell ya...Ron and Slash together would be awesome.

Can I thow an idea into the mix....
Slash and Bumble as a two guitarist band in my fantasy reunion where CD era songs are part of the set list still.... Bumble plays rhythm parts for slash to solo on the old songs...then on the new new CD era tracks...bumble gets to play the shred stuff and go crazy!!! Never happen but it would kill!

What's great about the song being in RockBand is that we can hear the music tracks separately. So if you choose to play bass on the song (in the game) then the bass track is made louder so you can hear it correctly (thus making you feel like you're "playing" the instrument)
This could also become a problem though if the song isn't released in anyother form and we have to rip it from the game.

Its all very wierd. The Album looks like its comming out, and yet the band looks like it has moved on.
Is it possible for them to release it with no tour. I mean given recording is done and these guys are basicly just session players...if there is no tour...i guess the album can be released and it has no effect on them.

Ahh ok cool...i hadn't seen that before...thanks ) I guess i'm just saying I'm scared what was once a bucket lead rock fest could have had the guitars turned down, and a bunch of synth or session players mess with it...but I hope not...i'd like to see it kick some serious ass. Damn that description sounds cool. Man...i want this to come out NOW!
