@Intercourse My moment where I realized that Guns were in a League of their own was the outro to Coma. It still shocks me to listen to it, it's so perfectly woven and builds with such violent intent excellence.

Yeah, and Locomotive's outro is like the flipside of that. One of chillest sections of any GNR song... imo, one of Slash's best moments. That whole segment, from piano, drums and Axl's vocal effects, superb.

Locomotive, Estranged, and Coma were Axl and Slash at their absolute best.

Since all the Breakdown love is here... Maybe this is super common knowledge to anyone that gives enough of a shit to post at a GNR board, but maybe not...  They knew they wanted a banjo, but no one at the studio knew how to tune one, so they said fuck it and just tuned it like a guitar.

I've always found that interesting for some reason.

He used to perform it with Snakepit. I assume you're referring to present day though.

Really? Has anyone got any boots of that?

We used to have it here but I just searched and its gone. Must have been one of the many threads that vanished during that major glitch two years ago.

downliner, weren't you the member that uploaded that show?

3. King of Limbs, Radiohead (15,400)

6. Bon Iver, Bon Iver (10,900)
7. The King Is Dead, The Decemberists (8,300)
8. Chinese Democracy, Guns 'N Roses (8,200)

The Beatles still #1. Wow smile

CD vinyl sales at 8,000 is really surprising. It's good to see The Strokes there, too.
