I watched the movie. It was dynamic, melodic and awesome, although I suspect some (or a lot of) post-work, especially on Page's part. But a good buy, for sure.

They're claiming they did absolutely nothing to it.
In listening to the CD in the car, I couldn't hear any obvious overdubs. But when I really get to blast the vinyl and/or blu-ray, I suspect I'll be able to spot at least a couple.
The star of the show so far for me remains Black Dog. Jason's drumming on it is just bad ass.

Well, watching the movie it was obvious that Page didn't play some notes. His left hand did the notes well (so it was the appropriate shot), but his right hand wasn't as fast as what we heard. Furthermore the band was much tighter than in their prime. I know that Jason is a monster, but he and JPJ sounded like a perfect machine. Led Zeppelin wasn't this kind. Just sayin'.
I'll buy the DVD and compare it to the audience shot I have. That'll be telling.

28:33 into that Video. The sound Jimmy supposedly made is a definite overdub.
Just sayin' It's not actually possible to play a single stable closed chord and do a detuned slide at the same time. You can hear the overdub perfectly in fact. Now it could have been a live overdub on the night so maybe no studio time went into this BUT, if you're already booking a studio for post-production you might as well spruce up the tracks with some overdubs. We all know how "re-master" happy JP is and how many god damned times he's redone the old classics, it's not a huge jump in my mind for him to over-dub Celebration Day.
Zep were a band who like Pink Floyd and the Beatles used the studio as an instrument in it's own right, don't see that as a bad thing personally, the music is what matters, but there's definitely some work done here in my (professional) opinion one way or the other.
It's just impossible to tell if the work was done in the postproduction suite or live on the night using pre-recorded overdubs.
None of this tarnishes the result in my mind. It's excellent music and these are excellent versions of some monolithic songs.
