Incredible.

Now THIS is how you dig into your vault and unload it. For those who love MOP and always wanted to hear more demos, concerts, etc. you literally cannot ask for anything more.

I'm gonna be all over those demos like Roseanne Barr on a loose meat sandwich.

I really wish these bands had done this type of thing in our youth. Better late then never I suppose but I would've creamed my jeans over this in the 90s.

I also don't understand why every band isn't doing this. That stuff is just rotting in their vault.

I really hope they are planning something for Justice next year. Its my favorite Metallica album and they know hardcores have always wanted a version of the album with Jason being more than a dog whistle.

Only $180 for that set is pretty reasonable.

$25 for the 3-disc CD set

Metallica stays winning with good fan service.

Yep.

Every band should be copying everything Metallica does with their web-presence and copy everything NIN does with their physical releases.

Metallica is offering Black Tickets to see every show on their 2018-2019 tour

250 of these tickets will feature a special price of $600.

And if you love to travel and one show just isn't enough, then perhaps the Wherever I May Roam Black Ticket is for you! For the first time in 'Tallica history, you may purchase one ticket that will allow you floor access to any Metallica show on the 2018/2019 North American tour. Feel like trucking to Tulsa? Booking to Boise? Motoring to Minneapolis? No problem… you pick the show, call us no less than 48 hours before the gig and you're in! A limited number of 250 of these Black Tickets* will be available for $598 (yes… celebrating the re-issue of the Garage Days Re-Revisited EP!).

Another great piece of PR/marketing/fan-service.

I don't pay enough attention to other acts but I know many big stars are having trouble selling out venues and haven't heard them do this.

Metallica stays winning, as they say.

They’re doing arenas this tour.  Sold out Pittsburgh first day. By comparison GN’R played the stadium here in 2016 and barely sold half.

I don’t think metallica will have any problem selling out every show. I got my tickets.

Word.

I just thought it was interesting this is the first time I've heard of something like this especially when major acts are having a hard time selling out.

Anyway, onwards and upwards.

I totally agree with what's been said: Every band should follow Metallica's example. They listen to the fans and deliver. Now that we're in what appears to be the final years of record stores and physical music releases, groups should do more to meet fan demand.

My own GNR/Metallica story: When I was putting myself through college I worked at the same place as a member of the band Metal Church. They all had jobs in their spare time, when the band wasn't touring. Well, James Hetfield got hurt in a pyro accident on the 1992 tour with Guns, so another guy from Metal Church ended up covering for him at many shows. When the tour hit Seattle, all the members of Metal Church got to go to the show and hang out backstage. I was sorely tempted to try to call in a favor and ask to get in myself, but didn't want to strain my working relationship, so I let it go.

A few years later I met Duff, twice, so it all worked out in the end!
