Everything that happened in the 2000s is having its 20th anniversary (duh, FlashFlood). But think about some of the other stuff that’s turning 20…Hammerstein shows in 06, Chinese Democracy, and the arrival of DJ Ashba!

Just here to say fuck DJ Ashba.

That’s when I knew the band was a joke.

I’m glad there was nothing creative released with Ashba.

As I couldn’t stomach this band at all then.

I miss Velvet Revolver. And it bums me out a bit that the GN'R reunion means that none of the VR milestones are being acknowledged. Like, where's our deluxe edition of Contraband? We know for a fact that there are unreleased VR songs, too; The House is Alive and a cover of Tie Your Mother Down, at least. Plus all the demo stuff.

I forgot all about the House is Alive track. That was supposed to come out with some animated kids movie right?

I miss VR mostly because I miss Slash and Duff playing with the drum powerhouse that is Matt Sorum. Frank is bar band level and has zero chemistry or groove with them, and Brent Fitz is solid but absolutely boring. At least Sorum played with some weight and groove behind his playing.

GN’R suffers because of this, and so does SMKC.

Conversely this was "The Projects" greatest moment, pre Scott.  in my humble opinion.

TRIPLE H, FUCK YES, great call. Man, what a badass high energy performance. The whole band was so into it. They were ready to take on the world. Slash is just a total badass. Sorum and Duff so tight. Kush with his toboggan lol, he is into it too. Good shit man.
