I truely believe that, and have never believed it before. I stand by it too. If they squander this publicity AGAIN, their only shot again will be a reunion to even get the GUNS N' ROSES name back out there.

And Axl seems content just sitting around playing Madden and watching porn.

Arcade I'm not saying you are the most optimistic person here.  Not that there's anything wrong with that.  But re re releasing a 21 or 22 year old abum instead of promoting a new album should indicate you that CD is probably nowhere near in sight.  And Axlin08.  You're right.  It is sad that IF Axl ever decides to launch this we won't believe it.  And it is Axl's fault.  Thing is, if they wouldn't have served us wit another dish of silent treatment after the RB2 announcement, MAYBE I would believe that CD might start now.  But they haven't confirmed it is a single, when the single will come out, when the album will come out and even worst of all they can't even confirm who is in the band or not.  And you expect me to believe that CD starts now?  Gimme a fucking break.  IF SR truly ends up in RB2 (I still expect an old song instead in that game) then I think the best we'll have is a scenario similar to the Oh My God scenario.  Nothing indicates me that we'll get anything better than that.  And again it will be Axl's fault, not the fans or management or Finck or anything else even though Axl will put the blame on someone else's shoulders.

an afd vinyl import on cduniverse is not exactly a re-release of an album.....you people are blowing that WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY out of proportion.....that is NOT coming from the band and it has NOTHING to do with the release of CD or Shackler's revenge.

Then who OKed it then?

You didn't mention the record company in that list; so I assume it wasn't them?

Foreign import re-releases do sometimes happen with other bands; so who usually OKs this?  Is permission needed?

geffen has shown they can release nongnr approved releases with the GH package...so maybe its them...or maybe its a boot

maybe a collectors version of the album...either way its not a re-release just a new pressing...its like a new printing of a book being released

I haven't talked to MSL since the 'incidents' with the Spanish guys, and, to be honest (I've been meaning to get this off my chest), looking at the news lately (plus russtcb's 'unofficial' news of the album being on Uni.'s release schedule of this autumn/fall), I do not know why these guys are talking to these people at this time.

It's unnecessary IMHO.  Even if it's just another 'OMG', something is on the launchpad this time (look at darknemus' latest post in the other thread).  It's just unnecessary; and 'everything that has a beginning has an end...'.  JMHO.

Honestly though, i think a re-release of this has nothing to do with CD or when it's coming.  Period.

Maybe it has nothing to do with the release of CD or maybe it does.  Only time will tell.  But the silent treatment is not a good indicator.  As I said before.  When a band or artist can't tell you what the first single will be, when it's going to come out or even worst can't even tell who is in the band or not.  Then it's kinda hard to convince your fan that you will release an album in the next few months.  Then again Axl seems to be succeeding in convincing a lot of his fans.  It'll be a shame come November or December.
