I don't remember her name. Been quite awhile since I read about the case. Happened out here in the country a few miles from Keyes(small town). Yeah, her car broke down and he picked her up.

Highway 99 runs through the central valley. It was not as big then as it is now, and there was a stop light on the freeway at the Keyes exit.

It was probably a crime of opportunity. God only knows where he was headed next.

Isn't there some dispute as to whether he actually did it though? The way I read about it, they don't know because he took credit it for it AFTER it had appeared in the newspaper. The movie shows this part where Robert Downey Jr.'s character tells Jake Gyllenhaal's character about all the crimes Zodiac had taken credit for and that there were really only 4 or 5 murders/attempted murders that could be verified. At one point he says, "Zodiac just took credit for 'em because he was in it for the press."

By the way, I think we are talking about the same woman because in the movie it's portrayed as being out in the middle of nowhere.

This movie looks great. Definitely gonna watch this in a couple days.

I'm gonna watch Natural Born Killers and Higher Learning tonight. I haven't watched either of those since they were released.

There were a few notable things about Zodiac to me:

1. The acting is top notch, especially from Mark Ruffalo as Detective Toschi and Robert Downey Jr. as the reporter Paul Avery. Gyllenhaal even managed to give a good enough performance that he didn't annoy me, which is saying something because I usually find him annoying. The guy who plays main suspect Arthur Leigh Allen did a great job. It's one of the creepiest performances out there I would say.

2. The attention to detail was very noticeable. They did a great job re-creating the time period and there's a great soundtrack that goes along with the movie. "Hurdy Gurdy Man" by Donovan is honestly the creepiest song you'll ever hear given its context in the movie.

3. The investigation is very interesting because of all the dead ends and you really start to feel for Toschi especially. He was blamed for not catching Zodiac, but he tried his damndest to catch the bastard. Robert Graysmith's obsession and the way it tears him away from his family as he's doing the research is the heart of the story.

I watched Heat earlier tonight. Hadn't seen it in ages, and its one of the best films of the 90's. I'm about to watch The Abandoned.

I watched "Wild Hogs" yesterday which was WAY better then I thought it would be. William H. Macy pretty much made the whole movie.

I saw this movie, I thought it was really good too, better then expected that's for sure.

I saw 3:10 to Yuma and I have to say, I didn't really like it.   I think my expectations were waaay to high for this.   The ending really bugged me.

I am hoping to see No Country For Old Men soon, I am dying to see that.

Last movie I had the time to really sit down and watch was Crank. It wasn't that bad at all. Fun. Amy Smart is cute. Jason Statham is proving himself something of a credible badass. It's really not my type of movie, so it was a nice change of pace.

I agree with you on that. I liked it, thought it was good. One of the better Cowboy movies in the last couple years, but certainly wasn't legendary. It seemed like it got alot of hype when it was out. I saw it about 2 weeks ago, decent. Ending was a bit anticlimatic, a killer ending could have really stepped it up a notch, but it seemed to make it a bit of a let-down. I think it was a remake though, and they didn't want to change the ending.

"Amateur Porn Star Killer", I'm ashamed/disguted almost too have seen this... it's makes the rape scene of Monica Bellucci in "Irreversible" look like "Bambi".
