The funny thing about it is... Obama has carried on Bush's foreign & financial policies.

But because it's a Democrat, and not Dubya, somehow it's "change".

And this is coming from an Obama supporter.

The Nobel Peace Prize lost credibility years ago...

He didn't campaign on getting out of Iraq and Afghanistan immediately, and his changes in the management of the Afghan war is way better than Bush's policies, while Iraq sees continued US decreased involvement. Financially, I agree, but Obama proposes new programs for Americans while the Bush administration raised spending without aiding the people.

I don't see how printing out trillions of dollars and making our currency worthless just to take care of the people is good for us.

While you'd have to ask the pioneer of this theory, Ronald Reagan, for the complete answer, I think anyone can see that people will NOT support the cutting of government programs. Everyone rallies behind reduced spending but no one wants to make any cuts. This is a Representative Democracy - the people rule.

In other words, a guy who did nothing for ten days is eligible to win a Nobel Peace Prize. Maybe I'll win it next year.

The Nobel Prize is now officially a joke.

If he's winning it based on foreign policy, George W. Bush should have a room filled with these. Obama is an extension of the Bush Doctrine.

Gotta love dems bitching about Congress when they have a super majority in both houses. That's why you're going to lose it this year. Cant get anything done because they have no one to blame but themselves.

This guy's the butt baby of Bush and Carter.

Enjoy your Peace Prize.

No, we're a Republic.  Democracy is overrated anyway, the average person is quite stupid and it leads to socialism  (which is where we're headed).

He won it because he`s the first black president.  simple as that.. it somehow makes people think things will "change", which I guess is true in that there is now a black president elected.. and thats great and all.

Yeah sure. Same things Bush was pushing and being called a nazi for.

Iraq was seeing a decresed US prescence before Obama ever took office.

Afghanistan was seeing changed policies, and an increase in troops as far back as spring/summer 2008. I know this, because I know tons of soliders that were Iraq guys being deverted to Afghanistan.

I'm not saying Obama doesn't have it right. He does. That's why I voted for him. I'm not saying Bush didn't screw tons of things up in foreign policy during his adminstrations. But the ship was being steered back on course before Obama even entered America's thought process.

People just didn't want to see it, because they made their minds up years ago that they hate Bush.

The Republicans are just as hypocritical. When it was a stimulus with Bush's name on it, it was "a good idea, that we need to give a chance"... but when it's Barack Obama's name on it, it's "socialism, death of America".

I didn't realize you needed to be an elected official for the award.

If he didn't win it based on ten days in office, why did he win it?

Tell me one thing that occurred in that time frame. Hell, tell me one thing he's done in the past 20 years that would somehow be worthy of any acknowledgement whatsoever. You couldn't list anything during the election cycle, and I doubt you can do it now because you know as well as I do that this guy hasn't done jack shit.

He's the most unqualified person on the global stage in world history. You deserve kudos for praising that though.
