It makes you wonder.

I think Axl is around about the same age Brian Johnson was when Ac/Dc dropped Black Ice.

They pulled that off, and then subsequently poor Malcom was hospitalised and then died. As we know Rock or Bust had it's own dramas.

I could see GNR doing a fairwell album and one more cycle at some stage, but realistically we may be close to semi-retirement.

I would like to see at least the rest of the Slash-redone leaks comeout, if they wanna do more I'd love to see a re-dux version of CD with Slash or Duff rearranging the songs the way they did live too. As for a fully new album - who knows what Axl has lying around to finish. But we're starting to hit a point where his voice is struggling, and who knows when Slash will slow down. So i hope they get started soon lol.

as it seems, our last chance for new material and an inspired Axl was the record with Angus that never happenend… and some people were complaining it would delay new music with Guns 16

I was looking forward to the prospect of an Axl/DC album probably more than CD2

I don't believe Axl has ran out of the creativeness that wrote songs of the past. He didn't want to undermine GnR by doing something solo but also did not want to deal with the criticism of releasing new music with new GnR.
Now I think the issue may be that they reunited for the money and one party or both still has feelings about the past can't get together and write.

I also can't imagine it is easy for Axl to re record these (cd2) songs for the umpteenth time when he likely already had an older version he likes more..

I think the chances of the band releasing a new album is slim to none.

It’s like the Beach Boys reuniting one more time it ain’t happening. They done.

This band will just be like your less shitty Poison or Motley Crüe greatest hits package.

Come see Axl, Slash and Duff as they perform their hits at such and such Casino.

I’d suggest both Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold if you’re looking for some good rock in the wait for new GN’R music.

Even though I know they’re not “new”, they both have new albums out this year, and they’re both great rock bands.

But back to your point, there aren’t any great new young rock bands carrying the torch.
And for the love of god, I hope no one brings up Greta Van Fleet as a young band to check out…

From what I've heard so far I think I'll enjoy 72 Seasons. Quite enjoyed Avenged Sevenfolds new song. I enjoy Ghost for their creativity as well which at the moment is borderline rock - I think their new EP will have a television song which should be interesting. Greta I have to say I enjoyed their first ep but generally downhill from there.

He doesn't rerecord anything. For the past 20+ years, anytime something needs to be done on a song for whatever reason, it's anyone else but him that contributes to it.

It reached the point where they were having to scrape the bottom of the vault(Eye On You) to add something to Hard School.

It's amazing how the perfectionist myth still surrounds him to this day...thanks to years of hardcore fan fiction.

I don't believe Axl has ran out of the creativeness that wrote songs of the past.

What does he do with it then?
