What can you say about the instrumentation and if it matches the cellphone clip?

(Please feel free to PM me if that’s better for you!)

Yes, definitely. I would actually pay more for a bare bones, digital release than an actual box set, because that would likely mean more actual songs to listen to.

Exactly. And there are hugely successful examples of digital releases being major successes in recent years from Dylan to Taylor Swift, hell, even Beyonce’s “Lemonade.”

Drop a shit-ton of digital tracks for sale. Charge whatever the fuck you want for it. Put the ChiDem era to bed once and for all, in a way that proves it was/is actually a highlight of GNR’s history.

All of us fans will finally be satisfied and ready to move on to the future. No more begging and searching for leaks. Finck, Pitman, Brain, Bucket, Bumble, and the gang will get the satisfaction of their work being heard.

This clears the deck for 2025 and beyond.

Release a box set of everything and take my money!

This.

Give the musicians their chance to shine after decades of waiting.

Prove the critics wrong.

Give the fans what we have been begging for. The market research has been done: We will pay dearly and happily for a thorough Chinese Democracy box set.

Don’t worry about packaging and perks. It could even be a lossless FLAC or AIFF release, without any manufacturing costs. Just get us the music.

$1,000 for 20 or more CDs worth of outtakes, demos, rough mixes, etc.? Take my money.

Yeah, even though the official website’s selling a single for release in October we could easily get “The General” and more on streaming or even CD beforehand.

The warm reception of “Perhaps” ought to kickstart the tour as it pleases the band.

Additional songs will do even more good.

They fade out Finck’s solo, which seems disrespectful to the man. His curving melody from 1:41 — 1:43 sets a certain emotional tone that holds up the entire transition from the chorus to the solo.

He deserves writing credit. Partially to reward two decades of patience while this great song gathered dust.

If we are all a bit crazy from waiting to hear things in the vault, imagine how the musicians must feel.

Cool. I’m happy for them. Even Fernando

I was listening to Melissa’s cover of Sorry and she really needs to be utilized more

Her take on Sorry made me appreciate Axl's songwriting more.

Like you can see how he could write pop songs like that rather than just rock.

Reminds me of when Cornell did that scream album with timberland.

Wait, there's a Melissa cover of Sorry?

Taa-daa! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=H09RCAwHh4Y

I meet Jarmo from HTGTH in a concert here in Spain. I presented myself and asked him for a vip pass to meet the guys in 2011. He knew my critics to Axl during that time and rejected. I explained him that my brother (he was with me in that concert) had a terminal cancer and that was his dream... for him that wasn´t a reason. It was more important my critics in the forum so he declined. I enjoyed the concert with my brother who finally died a year later. Sad story.

I am really sad to hear that. Your brother was lucky to have you as a sibling. Hopefully the memories you shared of the concert make up for how thoughtlessly you were treated.

Anyway, as you have seen this place is pretty open-minded. People disagree at times but there is honesty and that means a lot.

I don’t particularly care who Axl trades lyrics with. Duff would be my preference. Dizzy and Melissa are available. But someone needs — NEEDS — to give him the space within songs to catch his breath.

That takes away the struggles that lead to the Mickey voice and other understandable moments of human weakness.

It might be helpful to organize and discuss the tracks.

Apparently a cellphone photo of a stapled fax machine document which may have been fake circulated online in 2019. This is said to have included 25 song titles, most from ChiDem or included in the storage locker leaks, with these notable additions:
"Dragon"
"All I Wanted"
"Seven"

It was All I Ever Wanted, which if real could make it a Depeche Mode cover or anything. I tend to believe this list is real. If I remember right the paper work showed Engel and Engel which was a law firm that had done work with with and also against Geffen in the past. The head lawyer was a guy called Don Engel who died a few years ago. He once helped Don Henley get out of a contract with Geffen. So there is a bit of a connection there.

It's a hell of well researched detail to throw in on the papaerwork if someone was going to fake it. It's not impossible of ccourse, but it does nudge it into the probably real column for me.

Thank you, fixed it! 9

They have enough songs with vocals in storage to keep throwing them at the public, which is the basic recipe for success and staying in the public eye. Duff and Slash could record their parts even one song a week, to build up a stockpile.

The moment "Perhaps" shows signs of cooling, release "The General." So what if the vinyl doesn't ship until October. If they need a mid-tour boost, get this legendary track out there. All of us will be going batshit crazy, which the media, casual fans, and all of our family members/friends/co-workers will notice. This will also encourage all of the "GNR is BACK!!!" social media buzz.
