Doesn't appear like it'll be streamed live Russ, perhaps on delay later on. No idea if you'll be able to see it in the US though.
You tell me....

The sky blurb for BBC3 says 'live from Reading GNR headlining' so fingers crossed.
I'm actually quite nervous, at least we know he's already there!!
Here's to a good show

I think the Australia dates will be the end of the touring for Chinese. Now, I would love it if he dropped cd 2 at x-mas, released a single, and do a US Tour early 2011.
That'd be a pretty good plan, get a bit of momentum with a new single to launch a US tour.
I won't hold my breath

Pick the best 12-16 tracks from the vault and put that together and release as CD II (or whatever they wanna call it) whilst still touring and squeeze the new tracks in to the set as they go. Then end the tour hit the studio with the current lineup and write and release an album together before anyone else has a chance to leave.

Great news, pretty impressed they've sold out the O2.
Not so impressed about Baz though.

Axl can be punctual if he needs to be, was he late to the VMAs in 02 only a few days after the infamous Leeds show? No, he had to be on time or the show would have gone off air and nobody would have been any the wiser GNR were even meant to be there. So voila Axl's there on time (although maybe that's why that performance was so bad
).
The BBC usually covers Reading festival on radio and tv so Friday should provide us with some good pro shot stuff hopefully.

Whether Axls twitter message was genuine or not the one thing this has indicated to me is that everybody within the band, even the 'inner circle' seemed to initially believe it was more than possible.
We know Axl is a loose cannon and it wouldn't be the first time he's flown off the rails but to consider he's unstable enough to throw a hissy and cancel a whole tour via twitter and potentially jeapordise the future of the band is scary. Yet the reaction of the people from within GNR initially suggested to me they think he's more than capable.
FWIW if Axl did tweet that message I think it was more likely some sort of trump card in negotiations. I could only specualte what they may be but it personally wouldn't surprise me if Axl threatened to cancel the tour if X demand wasn't met and they called his bluff. He cancelled the tour via twitter let everyones blood pressure rise until someone caved and then announced a hack and the tour would continue.
Maybe I'm straw clutching and he flew off the handle or maybe I'm doing Axl a disservice and he was just hacked but the scenario above wouldn't surprise me. In fact if you wanted to scare the shit out of someone and make them think you'd cancel your tour without actually cancelling it then it's the perfect way of doing it.

Whatever the reasons for 'Tweetgate' I'm glad it appears the shows will go on for now. My interest has been running on near empty for most of 2010 if truth be told but the announcement of a show near me did excite me enough to buy some tickets.
I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt for now. Since the Axl incident on Sunday I've heard of at least 3 other stories involving people/celebs having their twitters hacked and altered so it's more than possible. Having said that if it was a genuine hack I'd expect/hope GNR would come out with a slightly more in depth explanation in the next few days. Obviously if it's a genuine hack GNR aren't to blame so should come out and make that known and apologize for any confusion (basic PR really).

Got my ticket for Manchester
Not sure about the seats though, they are directly to the side of the stage, is this usually a decent view or do you end up missing stuff at that angle?

Last night was just embarrassing, one notable chance all game against Algeria FFS. It's not even like they played very well we just couldn't string more than 3 passes together.
