I guess Jarmo got sick of making bullshit excuses for this band, and decided to pack up shop and go home.

This has got to be one of those "when hell freezes over" moments.

I guess I don't know what this means. What will change? Haven't been there in at last a decade.

It shows the site is still being updated. I don't have an account there anymore so can't login to see the forum but as of right now the site seems active.

Can't remember the password to try logging in, but jarmo himself rarely posted there right?

Only really seemed to be GypsySoul and scattered posters from scrolling.

The forum sadly was active enough to make Evo in 2025 look like 2006 HTGTH/MYGNR.

I'm sure jarmo's not sweating it though, given he's probably been living his dream for the past couple of decades.

I used to have an account but couldn't find my login details. I would have liked to check if people are still posting.

I am amazed he's run a 1.1.9 for so long without ever updating to a newer version. I am sure I had one of those 1.1.9 at some point between 2006 and 2009. I wouldn't be surprised tech/security issues led him to restrict access. There must be a lot of issues with that board. It is really an odd choice to ignore updates notifications when you have so many visitors and security is very important. It is OK to miss a minor release or two  but 12 newer versions with much better features?!? mad

Interesting. It's not just a security risk for him, but I'd imagine every single person who ever had an account there.

Back in the day, that was the place to be. It seemed to die quickly once it went down.

Absolutely.... truly one of the best sites on the net back in 2002-6.....2005-6 being its peak.

It even had a bunch of posters who weren't really GNR fans...they just loved the community. HTGTH probably had the greatest off topic section I've ever seen.

There were communities within the overall community.

Threw it all away when he decided to sell out and mingle with the GNR camp.

It would be impossible for any site to ever recreate that. The internet of today is completely different. 99.9% of the world is on social media.

Yeah...pretty crazy how outdated it is and for how long. The timing coincides with the sellout.

That's when he stopped giving a shit.
