Exactly!

Being interested in maintaining a certain level of fairness & in trying to avoid slander and all the nasty things beyond ordinary speculating has nothing to do with censorship.

1. Rons "evil" side is callled The Beard - open to public for a while

2. There are still several sincere musicians involved ( in the first instance: Tommy)

3. So there is a script for scenes like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoaS3FWi … re=related

4. Ron for Oscar - all categories - if that´s all true

I have seen this , too. Perla Hudson follows him. But I have no clue how much notion that woman has. wink Anyway, no one else of old or new GnR has him on the list.
There is no irony in his descriptions or postings. According to my instinct: No irony, no Izzy.

The chosen artwork gives me the impression that Axl had put a lot of lifeblood into the compostion of that booklet.

When it comes to his words about Fear ´n Freedom: I think they don´t only create some clarification about ChiDem & provide us an insight into Axls thoughts about China & politics, they also tell us something about Axl himself. As far as we know Axl is experienced to a certain extent both in being ruled & feeling fear (childhood) and ruling & causing fear (women). So maybe he perceived the peoples feelings and the conditions there more intensive than others had or would have. I wonder if he reflects on his former actions inwardly much more than some of his public utterances let conjecture.

#7 Re: Guns N' Roses » Duff McKagan Says Taking Stage With Guns N' Roses Was Meant To Happen » 689 weeks ago

Axl is quite fascinating - absolutely contradictory.

I like his sense of humor, I enjoyed watching him entertainig that little girl at one of the Russian shows last year, I appreciated the way he was telling some guys off back in 2006 - "You think you're a bigger asshole than me? Well, you got some more to learn!". I respect him for denying himself to be part of the press furore to a large extent. I even have sympathy for his reclusive way of life.

He has done nasty things for sure and not only a few. But the asshole part is plain and simple that - a part. And in comparison to the late 80s and early & mid 90s that amount has diminished somehow. He has a very likeable side, too and if you look closely this side appears not even uncommonly.

Well, I have never been a supporter of the idea that the members of newGnR are only in on it for the money. In my view, Tommy is a very sincere and pleasant person and apparently Ron and Richard are not much different. They can do without spending their life time bowing down before an unbearable and absolutely unpleasant person.

In his first interview after the "reunion" Duff mentioned how much he had missed it spending time with his old friend and he still seems to be very happy about the event. I don´t see, why a decent person like Duff should have missed being around with someone who is a complete asshole.

Thank you ! That´s funny because, besides GnR in general, you were one of the reasons why I started to come by here regulary some weeks ago ( won´t mention the other one ...)

I will never get the point that it verifies a rumor when the person concerned responds angrily to it. Watching lies about you being told and discussed over and over makes you angry. Unless you are a saint.  I personally don´t like saints in rock bands.

It was good to read Rons extensive statement after all the nonsense.

I was around at mygnr when Ron spent his time there. I understand why people got upset because of his choice of words as he violated the rules that way. But then again, as already mentioned by others, he was just adapting himself to the level of those who attacked him before.
And, different to others I was not surprised to see him acting this way. Everyone who knows The Beards twitter should know that Ron has a , well, provoking side.
And finally, the mods at mygnr may have their reasons to clear out the said thread but Ron lying imo is surely none of these.
I have to admit I appreciate the "whole" Ron Thal. The claims about him being fired were plainly annoying. Somehow I think Axl and Ron get along quite well. Anyway, I still enjoy the idea of Axl calling Ron after all and praising him : My words dude ! Well done ! wink
