Mixed Views on him doing a Manson movie.
That was such a horrific incident that I worry between that and QT's love of sociopathic torture sequences it might become a distasteful movie easily.
Then again...it's hard to deny that the whole time period and the whole concept of the movie is very much his style!

Tarantino has always said he'll retire after 10 films.
I don't have the quote handy - but to paraphrase from memory - the crux of his argument is that when he would look up the great auteur directors in film history - they would have a lifetime of classic movies - then the last few entries before their deaths would be shit work because they were too old or lost creativity - and in his mind this lowered the body of work as a whole.
So he always wanted to retire at the top of his game and just leave like 10 awesome films.
Mind you - he said it many years ago - so might get a bit keen as the 10th approaches - might end up coming out of retirement.
Also there's some dispute about what counts as the 10.
Officially this will be his 9th....but that counts Kill Bill as one movie, ignores the sequences he directed in Sin City and Four Rooms, also ignores movies he made that were lost in a fire - Love Birds In Bondage and My Best Friends Wedding, ignores his TV directing work on CSI and ER, and also movies he wrote but didn't direct such as From Dusk Til Dawn, True Romance and Natural Bornkillers.

Seems to be picking up steam after a lukewarm reception from critics. Getting single player content now.
Oh really? Cool! I didn't get it yet cos it was multiplayer.
Basically I love gaming but I suck so I prefer to just do the single player campaigns as I'm not at all competitive against kids online!

It really is odd how music has evolved in our society. Music has morphed into basically background noise....elevator music. Nobody sits around listening to actual albums anymore...not even in their car. A lot of people listen to podcasts and shit like that. If they stream any music, its some Sirius channel playing random songs.
I listen to music heaps, but I must admit it tends to be playlists I've made rather than complete albums. I have a kind of personal 'best of' for all the bands / genres I like.

Not to bring up any bad memories...but what ever happened to Bono? That happened during one of my dead periods.
Bono was banned from this site after a dispute with Russ, MisterID and a handful of others I forget.
In the subsequent weeks a wider argument over the ethics of banning him broke out and involved myself, Buzsaw and a few other people.
A few times people have suggested unbanning Bono but it usually gets a strong response from people he's offended.
That big argument was the main reason I stopped posting for a time, it just didn't feel fun for me for a while after that. Between that and all the wider issues with Russ leaving, the mood kinda changed around here to me. Water under the bridge now anyway.
A funny development from my POV was I didn't know Bono back when the trouble happened, I stood up for him in that particular dispute just because I thought it was a misunderstanding - but he subsequently thanked me and I formed an online friendship with him and a few evo characters on facebook. So I could send him a message if you need to contact him..pretty good friends these days

I think Axl will record with Ac/Dc at the end of this tour and then tour with them late 2018.
Not sure how Slash will spend that time.
If we get new GNR my guess is after that.

When he was resuscitated Axl became convinced that a new IMPOSTER SOUL
had taken over Slash.
^ Entirely plausible watching that outro!

No, Jesus did not look like Jerry Seinfeld.
I like this idea though....
"What IS the DEAL with those Pharisees?"

Have you seen a black person? The idea that the historical jesus would be considered "black" by modern standards is only said by those who think anyone without white skin is black. No african features on that jesus at all.
You do recognize "black" people come from Africa? And that the historical jesus was born in the Middle East, which is in Asia?

Never the less he won't be getting his membership in the KKK anytime soon will he?
I think that's the point of people who say be would be "black" by modern standards. It's a lazy shorthand way of if pointing out he wasn't white and that the typical illustrations of him where he is depicted as white were done to make him more palatable as a leader to folks who might notice that he wasn't from their hometown....
Thus it seemed odd to be talking about a Black Jesus....perhaps we need one for everyrace....a jesus for everyone....sounds like something out of my bible...

Black Jesus is kinda a tautology.
He was middle eastern:

Just saying
