I’m no Lebeis apologist but it seems to me he’s done well for himself (and slash and duff) with those people.

Financially perhaps, (no pun intended), but creatively he’s totally bereft.

Nah, all this comes from Guns n Roses opening for Maiden on the ‘88 Seventh Son tour in the US. Maiden fans booed GnR at most venues, GnR got pissed and it all went sour between the two bands.

That clip of Axl is from Donnington 88, after their opening for the Seventh Son tour in the US earlier that year. Maiden headlined Donnington, GnR were early openers (where two fans sadly died in a crush)….. hence the reporters questions and Axl’s comments. Nothing to do with lyrics, it was animosity between the two bands.

Don't worry, they'll shake things up a bit with the setlist this time round, cause that's enough.

It happened!

I was very surprised the he didn’t sing it in a low register, would have been so much better. I was watching it on my laptop, wife was across the table from me and she was like ‘wtf is that????’

I felt sorry for him tbh, once he’s ploughed into the first verse like that he’s  committed, there’s no going back. it was a friends funeral though, must have been very difficult to do.

But yeah, lower register across a bunch of the live set would add some balls imo.

Good article, nice read. Made me go and find the leaks online again, my original download got wiped out. I wanna hear the original hard school again.

#20 Re: The Sunset Strip » Christine McVie Dead at 79 » 136 weeks ago

Shocking thing is that I didn’t realise she was 79, that’s scary as I just don’t equate the band with that kind of age. Timeless music. It’s inevitable though, Christ I’m 46 and these guys were peaking when I was a new born baby. She was only three years younger than my mum.

All that aside, Rumours & Tango, they don’t come much bigger than that. RIP Christine.
