i don't always side with slash or believe what he says but i am guessing, if he is telling the truth, the copy he was handed was not stolen. it almost gets interesting at that point.

i was beginning to think the same way but
recent activities have proved that not to be the case
sites getting more traffic than they can deal with every time there are leaks

i think it will help sales. the majority of the fans that are left are gonna buy the album either way. some new fans will also be acquired that are gonna look into cd when they hear about the arrest.
i think the judge will throw it out as well. if he doesn't gnr could gain more press by showing their support for the guy.

i actually like his stage performance more now. he can't run and jump like he used to but he has more style. as far as singing he lost a bit of his voice but has replaced it with more vocal technique.

The leaks have also been removed by Tsunami in 2007. Tons of companies remove shit for artists. youtube is quite possibly THE biggest promotional tool in the world(and the icing on the cake is that the promo is free), and its mind boggling watching certain bands have their shit removed.
If the album ever comes out, they'll be wishing they could go back and not destroy its own promotion.
it's not really promotion, though, until it is for sale. there will be plenty of youtube promotion after the music is released
