While I appreciate Megadeth and Mustaine more than I do Metallica, the question revolves around the career. When I compare their careers, I tend to take commercial success into consideration. In that case, Metallica wins hands down. Metallica was THE metal band since they started out. They've had worldwide critical and commercial success. Yes, Megadeth is great and I like them better, but there's really no comparison.

Is it possible that the guys at the video game sites are lying and haven't heard anything new? Or maybe they were given a track (Better, TWAT, something like that), and told it was Shackler's Revenge. It's probably set up as a smokescreen to prevent the actual song from leaking before the game is released.

The name of the track really doesn't match anything Guns N' Roses. Most (if not all) GNR songs are first-person stories, feelings, and perceptions. Something named Shackler's Revenge or Atlas Shrugged is unusual because it gives me the impression that the songs are more epic and are from a different point of view. That keeps bringing me back to the idea of a concept album.

^ Guys, fiscal just means financial year. Any company can pick any year-end date they choose (provided they stick with it forever, or convince the government to let them change it).
Anyway, when companies are talking about releasing something to the public, they generally use the calendar year when they say something will be released in a specific quarter. Just makes things easier.
Looks like we're closer to a release than we've ever been!! We haven't had it on Universal's release schedule yet.

I wonder where all the 'swingers who attacked Slash for promoting Guitar Hero are...

Mitch Hedberg is up there for me. I have a lot though, I can't pick just one... Redd Foxx, Jerry Seinfeld, Russell Peters, Ron Jossel, Bill Cosby. Robin Williams is pretty funny too.

If we're actually going to get a legitimate song from GNR this year, why are people leaving the band? I wonder if Tobias is back in the mix...

Well, I guess this is pretty much confirmation of another leak a week or two before the game comes out.
Here's hoping they don't get scared and back out (ahem... Harley Davidson).
#260 Re: Guns N' Roses » Chinese Democracy Tracklisting Speculation » 896 weeks ago
Whatever the spelling is, the title is a play on the Arabic city and a person with the same name, isn't it? Maybe it's taking so long for this album to get released because Axl can't figure out how to spell it.
